Playing in the Sand......

After the visit to the light house we came back to play on the sandy beaches by our condo.

It was a calm peaceful afternoon and no one was around but us.

The sand there was different than any sand I have ever seen

It was like teeny tiny birdseed or something.....

Ahhhhh! Paradise!

I love to watch the ocean water....It is so calming!

Yep....I am in love!

Behind those black rocks was a small sheltered lagoon area....

It looked very pretty but a small family was resting there and I didn't want to disturb them to take pictures. Most of them had no clothes on! OOOPS! Felt like I was back in Tahiti or something. People don't wear their suits in Tahiti either!

While the girls checked out the beach Howie and I went to the pool right next to the beach.

The water was FRIGID cold because they were getting a new heater for the pool the following day and had taken the old one out. I chose NOT to swim that day. I am a woos when it comes to cold water! BURRR baby!

It sure was a nice area though....

Howie and I just rested for a while poolside......

The girls on the other hand wanted to hang out in the ocean. April was searching for seashells. She had promised to bring Karah home a starfish but we couldn't even find one lousy seashell! All the beaches we had been to up to this point....No luck! So seashells and no starfish. Walmart had a good selection though :)

The girls had fun just playing in the water, looking at the fish and watching the waves.

Howie made a nice comfy reclining chair out of the sand. I soon joined in and it was unbelievably comfortable!

Our beach had two small little blow holes.

When the waves come up to the shore the water fills up the hollow area beneath the rocks and then water comes shooting out.

Then the water is sucked back down into the holes.....

It was awesome to watch this up close. I had a video of it but I could not get it to load up for this post. So these are just a few pictures from that clip.

I have seen the larger blow holes around the island but never one up so close. These were much smaller ones but still very cool to watch.

One of Steve's favorite things to do in life is READ! You can always find a book in his hand. We played... and he read. It is his favorite way to RELAX!

I had laid my towel out on the beach for a snooze and when I woke up to Howie and Ash covering me up with sand! WHAT WERE THEY DOING....WERE THEY GOING TO BURY ME ALIVE???

Just kidding, I asked them if they wanted to.

Ashlee decided to form me into a mermaid.....
Howie insisted that he form DOUBLE "D" boobs for THIS little mermaid :)
He is so funny!

Ashlee put a fig leaf on me so that I would be a modest mermaid.

This sand felt soooooo cool!

Howie then covered up Dawnie.....

Although he refused to give her a "FIGURE"

He made a roly poly belly on her instead.

April was the last one to join in on the fun.

Me and my goofy girls acting like GIANT WIERDOS....

and loving EVERY minute of it!!!

I was so comfortable that I could have stayed there all night long but Ashlee was being bitten alive by something underneath. You can tell from the picture that she was going NUTS!!!! SHE WANTED OUT! We had a pretty funny video of us all crawling out of this sand but couldn't post it. We had a GREAT time!
After playing in the sand I cleaned up and went off to get the barbecue ready for some yummy steaks. The sun had gone down and it was getting pretty dark. I heard laughter coming from the nearby beach and walked over to find Howie and April playing in the water together. They were jumping the waves and just enjoying the peaceful night together. They probably didn't even know I was watching them.

It was so nice to hear the laughter coming from the dark waters. They were really having a good time together. I love the fact that both of my girls have accepted Howie into their lives with OPEN ARMS! They truly LOVE him!

I love that they are developing a wonderful relationship together. This has been a real bonding experience for us all. I look forward to spending some time with Steve's girls on a trip sometime so that we can get to know each other better and form a wonderful bond as well! LIFE IS GREAT!

Have I mentioned I loved that beach! It was so neat! I loved that the sand wasn't itsy-bitsy-stick-in-every-nook-and-cranny sand! You could shake your hand and it would just come off! I had a great time with Steve in the waves. Him being there with me made me able to dare to go out father and have fun (until then, I was only in up to my knees!) Very nice!
