Nate's Blessing Day.....

March 27, 2011

Our Little Nate had his special blessing day on March 27th.  He looked absolutely adorable in his blessing suit.

What a stud!

Pictures with Grandma T and Papa Howie...

We sure love this little guy....
The great grandparents enjoyed holding our new bundle of joy.

Such a good, content little guy....
Nate was born on Gram's birthday.  She always says that he is her favorite birthday gift.
Cuddles with Grandma Veenendaal
All this passing around is making me TIRED!!!

Lots of family and friends came to support Ash and Ty.  I love these get togethers because we get a chance to see our LONG LOST cousins and family members that we have not seen for a  long time.  Russ and Amalie came with their cute daughter
Russ is such a proud daddy....
Our fun cousins Kay and Angie....
Josh and Sheri.....
Getting to know our newest little cousin,  Madalynn
We were trying everything to get her to smile....
Her daddy is the BEST!  I love watching Russ interact with his darling daughter.  So cute!!!

My crazy brother Gary showing me his BEST SIDE!  Everytime I came with a camera he would turn his back to me.  WOW...LOOK at all of his hair he still has.  What a handsome guy!
I finally snapped a shot before he spun around.  GOTCHA!!!

My mom watching her son be a goofball.
Aunt April took a TON of pictures of him in his little suit.  I think these two are the cutest!  Look at that little bottom lip getting ready to cry.   STOP TAKING THESE PICTURES AND PICK ME UP!!!
Nate RARELY cries so this shot is pretty darn cute if you ask me.  It ended up that the reason he was crying so hard is that he DESPERATELY needed his diaper changed.  BIG TIME!!!!  WHAT A MESS!
All cleaned up and feeling much more FRESH!  What a cute grandson we have :)
Blowing bubbles for the crowd...
After everyone left we had a chance to snuggle somemore with Nate.  He is such a joy to have in our family.  He has the sweetest little spirit about him.  I love to look into his eyes and soak up the love that he seems to share.
I have always wondered what babies must be thinking as people oooohhhh and aaahhhhh over them.
Lyss and Karah decided to try to entertain him....

He seemed to enjoy it....
Sweet Cousin Kisses....
Yep....they certainly have his attention....
Seriously he is the most content little guy around!
Best buddies....
Playing with Boo....

I am so happy that we were able to be in town to share this day with Nate.  He is a blessing and a wonderful addition to our family.  We love him with all of our heart!  Happy Blessing Day Nate.  Grandma T and Papa Howie Love you ooodles and ooodles and bunches and bunches....

Sewing With Boo Bear.....

March 26, 2011

I had such a good time teaching my sweet granddaughter how to sew.  She is really growing up and is such a joy in my life.
She was excited to learn to sew because she said that ALL MOMS need to sew and she is going to be a mom someday soon.
Short video of Boo sewing....
I love having little projects at the house to keep my grandkids busy.  I love that one on one time spent teaching them things.  Being a grandma is the BEST!
After a little sewing we were entertained with a song from Karah.  The Star Spangled Banner....that she was learning in school.  She did know all of the words but she got a little distracted.  I was going  to have her re-sing it but I kinda liked it just the way it was.  She is such  a little sweetheart.

Brayden's 5th Birthday.....

March 25, 2011
After the Robinson Family Fun Night we kidnapped Brayden Jack to take him on our overnight celebration for his 6th birthday.
I can't believe the joy I get from my grandkids.  They certainly bring a smile to my face.
Taking some goofy pictures before we headed out for the night.  I realized as I was posting these that we do NOT have a picture of the other boys.  We ususally take at least one with everyone before we leave but I guess we were having too much fun and just forgot. We have played hard tonight at the family fun night so I am not sure how this date will go.  We will probably get to the hotel and CRASH!
Playing with his balloon from the party.  Look how RED his poor cheeks are.  This guy has been running around the church for several hours now with his cousins.  He is one tired little guy
We always let the grandkids open the door to the hotel by themselves.  They all think they are so darn grownup when we let them do it.  We also have them find the room by themselves.  So sometimes we have to wander around the halls for a while before we find the right room number.  I love our little tradidions because the kids all seem to enjoy themselves so much.
A visit to the hotel always includes a LOT of wrestling with his Papa Howie......
And fun, crazy pillow fights....

Brayden has always loved jumping on the beds.  He jumps from one to the other and back again for hours at a time.  This kid never slows down.
Awww....slowing down long enough to give Grandma T a hug.  I bet the people in the adjoining rooms are happy that "the boys" are finally calming down a bit.  It gets quite loud when they get playing and I always feel a bit sorry for those who get to room next to us.  We have never had a complaint though so it is all good!
Mission accomplished!  Jack is now warn to a frazzle so that maybe we can all get a good night's sleep.
Can't hit the sack without a midnight movie.

Brayden has frightmares sometimes at night and wakes up screaming to the top of his lungs and thrashing around.  There is nothing you can do to calm him.  It honestly sounds like someone is beating him.   Well this night he had another one.  I had to take him outside with me and walk around in the parking lot to try to  calm him down.  Well that did not help and I saw lights from the hotel rooms coming on and I was afraid someone was going to call the cops on me.  I took him in the car and turned on the music to try to calm him.  My ears will NEVER be the same!  That much highpitched screaming in an enclosed area is not good.  lol  lol  He finally calmed down (woke up) and was confused as to why we were in the car.  He asked me if we got kicked out of the hotel room for playing too loud that night.  He has no idea when he has these attacks.  NO FUN!
The morning is the favorite part of our hotel stay for the kids.  They all love to choose their breakfasts and bring it back to the rooms for some TV time.
Careful not to spill....
Papa helping with his waffles.....
This kid cracks me up.  When asked what show he would like to watch .....this was his show of choice!
What kid enjoys watching the WEATHER CHANNEL????  Unless you live in Montana and that is ALL that is on TV!  Brayden you are one funny little boy.  Maybe he plans on being a meteorologist when he grows up!
Now for the FUN!  We decided to start our day with some time at the Family Fun Center.
Our last birthday celebration with Jack we had done some laser tagging so when he found out that we could do it here, it was the first place he wanted to go.
All geared up and ready to go....
I had to take a picture after our session BECAUSE....I was the ALL TIME WINNER!  Brag...Brag....Gloat...Gloat...and Brag a little more :)  I won against all of the guys :)
I even had to take a picture for PROOF!  :)

Ready for more fun.....
There is also a bounce zone area here with lots of fun slides and obstacle courses.  Perfect place for  a boy to run around and play.

This kid NEVER slowed down....
Many of my pictures turned out blury but I think it was because he was ON THE RUN the entire time and didn't slow down for a single shot.  He was like the Ever Ready Bunny.  He just went on and on and on and on...
Papa Howie joined in on the fun....
But had a tough time keeping up with him....
Where does he get all of his energy?  He was up ALL NIGHT in the car and didn't get much sleep.  Oh to be a kid again :)
Jack was having so much fun.  I get tired just watching him!

He wanted to go play in this area but he was just a little too big!
Next came the arcades....
Now I can play with him.  As you can see most of the ACTIVITIES that require any effort at all, I let Howie play with him.  Climbing, sliding, jumping, pillow fights.  Yep I know what I am doing here.  I just reserve my energy for the EASIER activites.  That's just what GRANDMAS do :)
Mini Air Hockey....
Jack got pretty good with his air hockey skills when we were in California.  I think he beat me several times this day and I was actually trying!!!
It sucks to lose to a six year old kid

OH BOY!!!!
Look at all of the tickets I just won!
Arcade rides....
Now for the payoff....Choosing the prizes is the toughest part of the day.  So much to choose from!  It was sweet to see how he thought of buying something special for his brother back at home.  He is such a thoughtful kid.
What a fun day we had!
Brayden showing off his new BLING!
Playing with his new toys....
We had a great time with our Jack-Jack today.  He was such a good kid.  We absolutely love spending time with our grandkids.  Happy 6th Birthday Brayden Jack!  We love you.
