Beautiful Coastline by Hanauma Bay.......

Thursday we woke up early to go do some sight seeing before Howie had to get back to work. We headed to Hanauma Bay to try some snorkeling. We decided to stop by to check out Diamond Head first, since we were passing right by it. Well, that was one EXCITING place. NOT!!!! Talk about a waste of time. Well at least I thought it was boring. We did not even get out of our car. Just turned around and headed for fun!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I have to be actually doing something to keep me entertained. I am not one of those travelers who can go sight seeing and be impressed by some dried up mountain that was once a volcano. BOOORRRRRIIIINNNGGG! I have to have some sort of ADVENTURE or EXCITEMENT or CHALLENGE to be impressed.

We decided to show the girls this beautiful coastline which is close to the Hanauma Bay area before actually going snorkeling.

We drove to the outlook area and got out to take some pictures.

What a beautiful day!!!

Howie and I had come here a few months ago when we were visiting Hawaii and I LOVED IT! When we came the first time there were a bunch of people who had hiked down to the bottom of the hill area and were right next to the water. So we joined in.

WELL, this time when we got there NO ONE was down there. In fact we saw a sign that said DANGER! DO NOT CROSS THIS WALL. Well guess what.....I DID NOT OBEY!!! I promptly hopped over the fence and Howie and I headed down the hill. Ashlee just about had a coronary! She really FREAKED OUT! She was so upset that we would not follow the RULES! (Whose kid is she anyway). LIGHTEN UP AND GET DOWN HERE!!!!

We talked April into coming which was not too hard because she love ROCKS and she loves to take pictures.

She LOVED IT!

April mentioned that she would be okay if we just left her there for the ENTIRE day because she was literally mesmerized by the huge waves and the beautiful blue, blue water. She found a spot near the edge and spent about an hour just snapping one picture after another. She later told that she took over 400 shots of that place.

Once Ash realized we were serious about going down to the water, she decided to join us.

Actually to be honest I think she really was glad she did. It is the most amazing place and the pictures just don't do it justice.

I love the fact that Ashlee is always trying to follow the rules and do what is right. I am glad though that she collapsed to "Peer Pressure" on this one. It was nice to see both of the girls enjoying the scenery together. It's sad though that her OWN MOM is the one trying to get her to make "BAD" choices :)

The last time Howie and I were here the waves were GIGANTIC! We would have been DRENCHED if we were standing this close.

While we were down by the water we noticed these guys fishing across the way a bit. I have no idea how they got over there but......

THEY CAUGHT A BIG ONE!!!

It was fun to watch them bring the fish in. It was BIG!

We decided to go to Waikiki Beach for a few hours and then come back to go snorkeling when Howie gets off work. So we are off for now to play on the hot sunny beach!
