Howell Family Get-Together....

Steve's mom and sister Val (from Washington) came into town in August. Jan (Stere's youngest sister) invited us all over to their house for dinner. She lives in Murray just a few miles away from us, but it seems like the only time we see them is when other family members come in from out of town. We look forward to these times to visit and catch up on everyones lives.

Kendall is an incredible cook. He made us THE BEST Pulled pork barbeque sandwiches I have ever tasted. He smoked them with all of his special seasonings. He even shared his recipe with me and I can't wait till I can try it out on my own. YUMMMMY!

It was a perfect evening and we enjoyed just sitting out back and relaxing. Val and Bill came down to bring Megan to BYU. (I think) Just a note of interest.... Megan is training to run in the same marathon that Howie is planning on running in. It is on September 20th.

After dinner we decided to play a game of croquet. (Is that the way you spell it?)

I can't remember who actually won the game. I think it was either Val or Megan. Anyway.... We had a great time with lots of laughs. It is nice to be together as a family! I love these guys!

And stayed there most of the night.

This summer we have been able to visit with Mike's family, Val and Mom, and Randy from New Jersey. They each came one week after the other. It would have been nice to have had them ALL together at once. We enjoyed visiting with each of them. They are all so warm and friendly and I have felt a part of them from the start. Thanks for welcoming me into your family! Love ya!
