My kids came over and helped us tear out everything to get it all ready. This was a HUGE job but it went pretty fast with so many helping hands.
Moving furniture.....Everything needed to go downstairs!
Even the little ones were involved in the fun!
Karah worked on emptying out the fridge....
Lyssi worked on just being CUTE!
Kissin' Cousins.......
Little Luke was just "eating this up"
He was working just as hard as the "Big Kids"
Rolling up rugs.......
And helping Papa Howie move the BIG STUFF!
Where are we going to fit all of this furniture???
Once the furniture was all stacked out of the way in the basement, the real fun began !
All this empty space makes for a fun spot to drive around on a dolley. "Go faster Daddy"
Ashlee wiping down the disgusting cupboards and shelf area. YUCK! I haven't climbed up there for months!!! Thanks Dawnie!
GIRL POWER! Look at Ape handle that power tool! That's a way to use your HEAD Dawn!
What scary things did you find behind that stove?
I was really amazed at how the girls just jumped in and started tearing out things. VERY IMPRESSIVE! Hey Boys.... step back and learn!
Once again Luke was right in the middle of all of the action. He helped in every stage of the tear out. Even with the power tools.
Such concentration......
YIKES! My house is looking so empty!
Almost finished....The sink was the last thing to go......
What am I going to do with out the kitchen sink?
My cars just lost their parking spots in the garage to these old cabinets. We also had my fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher in the garage. It was not the most sanitary place to prepare food but it worked for Howie and me.
April crashed after we worked her to death.
Without water to clean up with or furniture to eat on, we decided to have an inside Pizza Picnic for our break.
YUMMY!
After all of the work was done we then decided to go out and enjoy the rest of the day in the pool.
Papa with Jack-Jack....
Who is splashin' mommy?
Karah chillin' in the shade......
Brayden liked it outside of the pool almost as much as inside
Brady had his own little motor boat pushing him
Smile big Boo......
Lyss was so tired and not too sure she liked this
The little ones were almost asleep while Papa Howie and I drug them around in their float tubes. Ahhhh so relaxing!
Looks like the adults are crashing too.....
Can you tell Shawn LOVES planes?
Let's hope he doesn't fall asleep like this while he is driving the REAL Planes!
Everybody is pretty much "ZONED OUT" after an hour or so in the pool.
Ashlee modeling her new Wrap thing. I can't remember the name of that piece of cloth you wrap around yourself. So for now it is called the "Wrap thing"
After a VERY SHORT rest from the kids Grandma T pulled out the snowcone machine. The kids Loved it!!!
They each took turns choosing their favorite flavor
Lukie sure loved them......
I soon found he has MANY favorites!
Grandma T was too slow when it came to making more for Luke. He tries it himself!
Heck.... who needs the ice. I like this stuff straight out of the bottle!
Lyss enjoying hers too. These cups need to be BIGGER Grandma T
It's crazy how thirsty you get eating snowcones.
The day is almost over but there is always time for a push in the swing from Papa Howie
WEEEEEE!
Well this has been a VERY, very long day but it was not over yet! After all of our work was complete, after our pizza picnic, after our little swimming party, after the yummy snowcones, we were off for yet another activity! Howie and I went with April and Shawn's family to Manti that night to go see the Pageant at the Temple. We changed our clothes, packed up the car and we were OFF!
These were two pictures I just snapped as we drove by so they are a little crooked but I think this is a beautiful temple. Steve and I plan to visit this temple soon.
It was a calm peaceful night (minus the bugs and the wierd people talking bad about our church) Karah enjoyed walking around before the show began to see everyone dressed up in their costumes. The girls were really well behaved and Karah was full of questions the entire time the pageant was playing. It was fun to watch it with a child's perspective as she sat on my lap. I enjoyed hearing her sweet comments. I don't think she took her eyes off the show once! We enjoyed the pageant and the time we were able to spend together as a family. Next time I hope we can arrange a time that Tyson will be off work and our entire family can attend it together. Maybe a campout! Sounds fun to me!!!

Wow! Long post! Long day! I forgot those were all in the same day! Sarong. and So wrong for you to put that nasty picture of me in the pool! What kind of face is that! We had lots of fun! I don't think the boys had any other option than to move out of our way when it came to the power tools! Between me and Ash trying to share they didn't get a chance! We like power tools and ripping out things! Thanks for the fun! ape (aren't our kids cute?!)
