The man that checked us in at the counter said we got a really good deal on the internet. It was not until we actually walked into the room that I realized what an UBELIEVABLE DEAL IT REALLY WAS!!! It was amazing!!!! Two KING sized beds.....
Steve has slept in HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of hotels over the past few years and this one by far was the most comfortable. The beds were FABULOUS!
Seriously they were by far the most comfy cozy beds EVER! You lay down on them and feel like you NEVER want to get up! The pillows also were perfect. Felt like you were sleeping on a big fluffy cloud! I LOVED IT!
I had a lot of studying to do for the upcoming week and it was nice to relax in these huge rooms. The amenities were also top notch! The pool area was like a beach. There were bungalow with queen sized mattresses on them and curtains that you could pull around you for sun protection and privacy. They were VERY nice. Around the pool they had sand for the kids to play in so it felt like you were at the beach. They had all the toys for the kids as well. I really want to take my kids here with the grandkids one day because there is so much to do. There was bowling, minature golf, race cars, climbing walls, golf, arcades, you name it they had it. Everything was family oriented and CHEAP!!!
They also had these little islands out in this water area beyond the pool. It took me a while to figure out what the grassy islands were for but I later found out that it was a driving range. You could practice your swing and try to land the ball on one of these little islands. Very fun!
At night time they would have fun events planned around the hotel and the pool. One night after we got back from the office we heard the music playing outside. These pictures with the wonderful view of the pool area were taken from our hotel room. When we looked outside we noticed they were having dance lessons poolside. Instead of heading down to join them ( I didn't want to make a fool of myself cuz I CAN'T dance) we did the lesson in the privacy of our room. We moved the couches from next to our window so that we would have our own little dancing floor. We had lots of space to spin and twirl. Then we went for it! It was nice to dance in the arms of my lover! It was fun as we tried the different steps and ended up giggling more than actually dancing. Look out "Dancing With the Stars" HERE WE COME!
Grand Sierra Resort in Reno has a HUGE "thumbs up" from me. Lots to do....Lots to see... and the food is SUPERB!
Fun business trip once again and lots of new memories....
