Snowed In.....

April 21-22nd

Our original plan was to get off work Thursday night and start driving back to Utah.  We thought the kids would be beat and basically sleep the whole time.  By doing this the ride back home would not feel so long for the kids.
The instant snow storm helped us quickly change our mind.  We were HOTEL bound!  More fun times with the kids!
Jack-Jack loved the idea....
Boo thought we were CRAZY......
The kids were in silly moods and we were in for another long crazy night!
Where do they get all of their energy?

Our Poor Hotel Room....
We found a huge hotel room at a great price which had a separate room for us :)  :)
It is funny how everytime we go to a hotel the kids instantly start acting like monkeys!  NO MORE MONKEYS jumping on the bed!

Karah may just be a little too big to jump on the beds.  She had her hands up above her head and hit the panels in the ceiling.  She instantly jumped off the bed and refused to get back up.  If it were me (as a child)  I would have thought..."COOL... I think I will knock all of those panels off the ceiling!"  Hmmmmm
We then came up with the idea to take the mattresses off of the bed and make a GIANT trampoline out of them.  The room was so huge that we had plenty of room to play.  They were much safer on "ground level" when it came to our traditional hotel pillow fight. I am always worried that the kids will fall of the bed and crack open their heads. This should be safer!

Once again Howie is being attacked and I am tucked safely behind the camera :)

These kids are going to remember these times with their Papa FOREVER!  He is so much fun to be with.  I am so happy that we get to share these grandkids and the fun memories that we are making together!

I love how Lyss was dancing around on "her stage" humming and singing songs.  She was oblivious to everything else going on in the room.  She is adorable!

After a few hours of jumping, laughing, playing, singing, and running up and down the halls of the hotel....they were ready for bed.  I often wonder what the other guests have to say about us but so far....NO COMPLAINTS!  I know they put us in the far corner of the hotel for this night and it was so fun to just let them GO CRAZY and have FUN!
The next morning they were STARVING!  In fact Luke kept saying that he was "STARVIN' MARVIN" and wanted food NOW!
I love my grandkids.....
Patiently waiting for the food to arrive!
Snuggles from my Boo Bear!
The kids loved coloring their cowboy pictures while they waited for the food be made.

Lyss coloring with her favorite Papa Howie
Luke can hardly stand the wait!  GIVE ME FOOD!
Brayden said that these were the best pancakes in the world.  It helps that they are coated with layers and layers of SUGAR!

Well, once everyone was well rested and fed we were finally ready to head home to Utah.  I was not too happy about the fact that we were returning the kids to their parents.  I have loved every minute of their visit.  It is just a shame that we can't do this more often.  Who knows....maybe next year!
