April 18 &19th
Well we were a little unsure how the kids would react to spending the week at work with us. It could be a boring place for a small child but NOT when Howie is around. He has a way of making EVERYTHING fun!!! The kids are definitely in for a fun filled week!
Checking out the sound booth....
You had better behave or you will get LOCKED inside and nobody will hear your cries for help! LET ME OUT....LET ME OUT....HELLLLPPPPP!
Checking out the video-otoscope....
They thought it was cool to look inside their ear with a tiny camera....COOL STUFF!
Cute Alyssa....
Art Projects.....
I planned all sorts of art projects for the kids for the week. I know that these kids can spend HOURS and HOURS on end with just a few art supplies.
I love their creative minds....
Showing off their works of art....
Alyssa's masterpiece.....
Jack's cool spider....
Karah's stage for her play.....
Movie time is always entertaining....
We also put them to work. They would pass out cookies, napkins and water to our patients as they came in for their appointments.
The kids were FABULOUS! They were on their best behavior. Soon it was time to head home and get ready for bed. The girls thought it would be great to do my hair. Oh boy was I in for a treat!
It started off nice....
And they were both spoiling me....
UNTIL.....Boo decided to start a water fight! That girl is going DOWN!!! Who does that to their sweet innocent little granny? She must be related to me :)
Day Two at the office....
The kids felt the need to make signs to help guide our patients in for their appointments. They made signs and hung them throughout our office....This kept them busy for quite some time....
Signs for everything....
They also made signs inside the bathroom reminding our patients to remember to wash their hands. SO DANG CUTE!
They made name tags for everyone...
They also decorated our doors with their beautiful artwork...They had that place looking quite spiffy!
They each got an office writing pad and it was cute watching them write love letters to each other. Looks like Karah is paying for her friendship with Jack! lol
"I love everybody for the rest of my life"
So cute :)
Playing at the Duplex
The kids were being so well behaved and could have spent the entire day at the office but I noticed what a beautiful day it was outside. I decided to take them home for a few hours so that they could enjoy the gorgeous weather we were having.
They played so quietly together that I decided that I had better go out back and check on them. This is what I found.
They had gathered objects throughout the backyard and created a family home evening lesson. It was SO SO SO cute! They explained it all to me and I was quite surprised. I had to run and get my video so that I could capture their sweet spirits on tape...
Jack ran into the screen on the deck. He has been spending too much time with his aunt April. There is a funny, funny story about her and sliding doors. :) :) :)
Back to the office to pick up Papa Howie....Thought I had better take a picture or two of the kids by Miracle Ear. This won't happen too often. Unless of coarse their parents decide to surprise us and move up to Montana! Now we're talkin'
Brayden was pouting so I took one of just the happy grandkids....
I love this picture so much. Brayden is having a total melt down but I told him that he needed to get in the picture and smile if he wanted to go inside and play. Gotta love the forced smile behind the tears. Poor guy!
I set up a painting station in my back office for the kids and they LOVED it.
Jack was once again a "happy camper"
It helps when you concentrate to stick out your tongue!
Luke working on his penguin picture....
Karah and her mermaid....
Alyssa and her candy house....
They all took their time and worked so hard on their paintings....It took them all day to finish them. They would paint a little, have a snack, paint some more, watch a movie. paint some more.....have a snack......on and on and on. Best activity of the week by far.
It helped entertain them because the pictures were SO big and the paintbrushes were SO small. It seemed to take them forever but it was fun to watch them at work.
Karah and Brayden were finally done.
They turned out so cute and the kids were so proud of their work.
Another day at the office complete!
I love this picture of the kids with their Papa. Poor Howie has had to work all day and I have been able to just play and watch the kids. Doesn't sound fair to me BUT......I'm not complaining! I love it :)
