The food was delicious. We had a turkey dinner last year but this year we had yummy ham.
Fun family times.....
Some kids were a bit camera shy!
This little guy in the red sweater was my little shadow for the night. I have only seen Creed a handful of times at family get-togethers but he came and sat next to me at my table and talked and talked like we were long lost buddies. He is the cutest kid!!! I love getting together with cousins and watching everyone have such a happy fun time together. My family is amazing!
We had a nativity play with all of the young cousins together. Brayden was suppose to be a shepherd, Luke was a cow , Lyssi was a sheep and Boo was an angel.
I enjoyed watching the parents dress their little ones. I think they enjoyed it much more than the kids did.
Brayden decided he wanted to be a Buzz Lightyear Shepherd. He decided if Buzz could not be in the play then he wouldn't either. We pulled in couches and chairs to watch and sing along with the skit. It was absolutely adorable. I wish I had a copy of the video my brother took of that night. I would post some of it if I had it. I was laughing so hard that tears were rolling down my face. Some of the kids were such hams. My little niece, Whitney, about two years old was just dancing around on the stage doing her own little thing. Every once in a while she would come to the front of the stage, look out at the audience, smile and then go back to her impromptu dancing. Luke on the other hand had practiced his part all day long. He was a cow so he was walking around everywhere on stage saying, MOOOOOOO! Right in the middle of someone elses part, right in the middle of the carols we were singing, even when the show was finished he poked his head out and said....Moooooo! What a riot that kid is. Quite the little ham! Karah was an angel and had a speaking part and did an amazing job. She even had to prompt her "older cousin" as what to say. This night was priceless. During that play I realized how much I truly love and adore my family and all of their sweet little kids. They mean the world to me!
After the play we had a mini talent show. Creed was hilarious. He entertained us for at least a half hour just by himself. He did not want to give up the microphone. Some kids sang, some recited the alphabet, some said the pledge of allegiance in Spanish. It was quit entertaining.
We have two missionaries out in the mission field. Joshua is in Sacramento California and Greg is in Russia. We took time to write them letters to send off for Christmas. We sure miss those guys.
Well this was a wonderful night spent together. What a great way to kick off the Christmas holiday season. I love this new tradition we have and thank my sister Teresa for all of the hard work she puts into planning and preparing for it. She is awesome!
