Fishin' With the Boys....

August 13, 2011
We came into town and thought it would be a great time to go up to Strawberry Reservoir.  We had planned to rent a pontoon boat and take the kids as well as Mike up for the day.  When we arrived they did not have any rentals left so we were stuck with shore fishing instead.
It didn't seem to bother anyone except me.  The kids enjoyed themselves anyway.  Luke had the biggest smile on his face.  He was so excited
It was such a calm peaceful morning.

Even Nate was enjoying himself.
Luke was the first to catch something.  Even if it was NOT  a fish he still had a great time reeling it in.
Fishing was very, very slow but that did not stop the boys from having fun. Nathan and Bradley had a great time catching crawdads instead of fish
Jack looked as bored as I was.  I am the most impatient fisherwoman ever!  It is so BORING fishing from the shore.
Lots of sitting around and not much action but it is not bothering some of them.
He's still smiling!
Even Nate was enjoying himself
FINALLY....someone caught something!  I think Mike was the first!  Can't believe there are actually fish in this area.  Maybe they were all just SLEEPING!  WAY TO GO MIKE
Nate wanted to have a try at it...
Ty just chillin' and listening to his book on tape
Mommy showing Nate how it is done.....
What a cutie-pa-tootie!
"I'm gettin' the hang of this"
No bites for Tyson....
Pretty flowers along the trail to our fishing spot
We took Nate into the car to relax and play a while.  He just LOVES to stand behind the wheel of the car and pretend he is driving.  He was full of giggles!
Dad stopped by for a SCARE!  He was laughing so hard at his dad. I wish I had captured it on video.  It was so cute!
Finally all of that sitting around that Brayden did finally paid off.  He caught a fish!!!! He wanted his picture taken with it but he  just did NOT want to touch it!
That's when Grandma T comes in handy!
Mike was a good sport as he helped the boys bring in a fish or two.
Luke caught a fish!  YAY
Even Nate had a bite....
Luke was our "Net Man"
Yep...still smiling!
Brayden enjoyed the pads of paper and was drawing pictures of the day.  He is such a cute kid
Patience is wearing thin.  No more smiles...he wants a FISH!
This picture sums up and describes my day.  Just sitting around in hopes for a stinkin' fish to jump out of the water.  Slow fishing days are NO fun.  I would much rather be on the pontoon so that if it is slow we could drive to a different fishing hole.  Oh well, it was quite nice gathering as family and enjoying the beautiful day. It was just NOT my favorite day at Strawberry!  Oh well maybe next time~
