Blue Party for Baby Nate....

September 18th 2010
Once we found out that Ash and Ty were having a little boy it was time to plan our BLUE PARTY!  This has become a family tradition for over 8 years now.  I love this tradition!  It gives us an excuse to get together as a family and celebrate the upcoming birth of our newest family member.
April making posters to welcome Baby Nate....
Howie blowing up balloons.  A party is NOT a party without BALOONS!
April putting on the final touches on Nate's cake.
Everyone dresses in the appropriate color.  Luckily it is a boy so Howie, Tyson and the boys don't have to wear PINK!

Not sure why April was not wearing her blue outfit.  I think she was too busy decorating the house for the party, but she did an awesome job of  improvising so that she  fits right in.
My girls.....Love em!
We decided this time to have breakfast food for dinner.  We had a wide assortment of BLUE food available to snack on.  Blueberry muffins, blueberry fruitsnacks, jello, blueberry bagels and blue cream cheese.
We even decided to turn the milk for dinner BLUE!

Big Helpers...
My crazy boys!
We also dyed the cheese BLUE that went on our eggs....YUMMY!
They may have looked gross but they actually tasted DELICIOUS!
A party at our house seems to ALWAYS end up with pictures of our TONGUES!
Their tongues were blue WAY before our dinner actually started.
April made these delicious miniature german pancakes in muffin tins.   We turned the whip cream blue and topped with blueberries and bananas.  SOOOO GOOOOOD!
The boys loved making their blueberry toaster strudels especially with the blue sprinkles...

April is slowly losing her blue outfit!
Cake with Blue Bunny icecream.....
We played outside for some time.  I loved watching Tyson playing with his boys and Ash.  He is a wonderful daddy.  I took several pictures of him and his family wresling around the back yard together but they were all too blury to post.  Poor Ty was exhausted.  He gave piggy back rides and rolled all over for about an hour.  He is a great daddy!
We also played a few games inside.  April made a adaptation to our Christmas game of Don't Eat Santa.  She made this cute baby rendition.  It is so fun to watch the kids play this.  For such a simple game....it NEVER gets old!
Steve looks so tired in these pictures.  You can sure tell he just ran a marathon earlier in the day.  He was quite the trooper to play and be so involved in our party even though he was probably ready to crash for the night.

We also played a game with straws and blue M&Ms.  It was kinda gross to see the spit that the boys produced!  lol

The last game we played was Baby Pictionary.  I was surprised at how well the boys played it.  They are quite the little artists.  Can't find the pictures that goes along with those games so I will have to add them later.

Once again we had a great time together celebrating Ash and Ty's good news of our baby Nate.  We are all so excited to have him join our family in a few short months.

Hurry up and get here little Nate!  We love you already!!!
