My Own Personal Construction Crew....

This summer has been one filled with projects. We have been trying to get things fixed up around our home. Once again Ashlee has come to our rescue. Actually she (and April for that matter) LOVE to put things together. Ever since they were young they would be so excited if we bought something for them that required assembling it together. That always made the gift that much better!

Well when Ash saw that we had purchased a little tool shed a few weeks ago she BEGGED us to let her put it together :) Okay maybe she didn't actually BEG us but she said she wanted to help out!

Ash brought her boys over one evening to help build it, and just like always Little Luke was very curious. I came out of the house to find Luke laying on his tummy with his face RIGHT NEXT to the drill. I ran to get my camera and by the time I came back he had backed off a little bit. Seriously before I got the camera his little head was actually touching the drill. He wanted to get an "up close and personal" look at it I guess!

Ash and Howie made a great team.....

I had to get a picture of a MAN READING DIRECTIONS!!!!!

That has got to be one of my biggest Pet Peeves about MEN in general. Not so much Howie but other men I have been in contact with. They NEVER feel the need to read directions for anything. Then after many hours of trying to figure something out on their own they FINALLY pull out the direction manual and take a peek. Well....Howie has learned that you can save a LOT of time if you just read FIRST!

Ash likes these directions because it is basically just pictures and no words.... That makes it easy!

I looked out the window and what did I see.....

My sweet lover looking back at me!

I am not sure if I have ever mentioned this before or not

BUT---Just to set the record straight......

I adore this man!

He is by far the BEST husband anyone could ever ask for.

WOW I am blessed!

The entire time Luke was Howie's right hand man.....

Luke kept a close eye on every move Howie made....

And he was our number one "screw man"

He loved to look for the holes to fit the screw in just right.

While Luke was busy helping out Howie and Ashlee......

Brayden was busy running around just having a good time.....

These two boys are so different. Brayden is all about goofing off, acting silly, running jumping, and make believe play......

Flying through the air.....

Shooting a web around his Grandma.....

And playing "karate chop" with these styrofoam pieces
Especially over his head
Clean up- time for popsicles....

Brayden kept asking for me to take his picture. As I was taking it he kept squinting and I thought it was because of the sun. Well, everytime I take a shot of Brayden he asks if he can see the picture. He was soooo excited when he saw this one. "Yeah! I can finally wink!" "I was winking at you grandma T" "Can you see that?!?" All the while I thought the sun was just too bright for my little guy and now I find out it was a wink! What a cutie! Before long he will be winking at all of the cute little girls he sees!

Luke also wanted me to take a picture of him up close. He always crinkles up his nose and has this cute cheezy grin. I love my boys!

Ash and Howie worked fast to try to get this shed up before the sun went down.

But we soon had to pull out the little head lights that Howie and I used on our cave hike in Washington---Oh what awesome memories :)

They worked for about another hour in the dark.....

Although it doesn't look dark in these next few pictures....

While Ash finished up a few of the finishing touches....

Howie played shadow tag with the boys.....

I love the look on Luke's face. He was laughing so hard. Howie knows just what to do to make these boys laugh. I absolutely love to sit back and watch them play together. It is so dang cute. They have a great relationship with their Papa Howie!

Ashlee let Brayden wear the spotlight as the boys slid down their makeshift slide in the backyard. These pictures were taken when it was pitch black outside. I don't know how to take them with my camera on night mode. Oh well you can see how much fun they were having! So cute!

The finished product! Great job guys... You are both AWESOME!
Now my lawn mower, snowblower, tiller and tools have a home!
Thanks Ashlee and Steve!

I do think she begged! Ashlee doesn't read directions so she's probably telling Steve to put those away! Oh, I just read that there were pictures. I know she isn't opposed to picture instructions just word ones-I know my sister! Luke looks so grown up from behind! I'm glad you noted it was Luke in the pictures because I don't know that I can tell the difference-is that bad? They are almost the same size! I'm pretty sure I was there while they were putting this up-where was I? Was I asleep? Or did we leave-I can't remember!
