Apple Blossoms.....YEAH!

I was pretty bummed last year when I saw my apple tree right after it had been trimmed. The people I hired to "TRIM" it totally masacred it! Since then my poor ole' apple tree has been trying to recover. It went into shock and had some bug last year. No apples! Then this year as I was watching everything in my yard bloom and blossom my poor sick apple tree just sat there :(

I didn't think it would kick back into shape BUUUUTTT..... When Karah was visiting the other day she pointed out the pretty flowers way up high in the "Swing Tree". She wanted me to pick them so she could deliver them to the neighborhood friends.

As I walked to the side of the tree toward the back- low and behold- there were apple blossoms! Yeah!!!!! I honestly thought we were out of luck again this year. I am so happy because these apples make the BEST dried apples around. They are granny smith so they taste just a bit tart and my grandkids and my girls love them. I only have one measly little branch with blossoms but that is better than nothing! Hopefully next year it will be even better.

For our first year anniversary Howie bought me this pretty tree. It is just now blossoming. It was fun to go and pick it out together and plant it . Now each year that we are married we can see the tree grow bigger as we grow closer together. AAAAHHHHH! He is so thoughtful.

I love the bright pink blossoms on it. PRETTY!!!

He bought me this gorgeous clematis this year to go along the trellis in the backyard. It will look really cool with the deep purple ones I have there now. I love flowers and spring (if you haven't figured that out yet)

I think Lyss loves spring too. I watched her go from flower to flower sniffing them. She would carefully bend over, so she wouldn't fall over the edge, and take in a DEEEEEP breath. AAAHHH!

I love the look on her face with her lips all puckered up.

She is a doll!

All grins.....

I love how she crinkles up her nose when she smiles.

What a cutie!

Well I spent about five hours tonight pulling weeds and plan on working all day long tomorrow (Saturday). It gives me something to do while Howie is away. Very therapeutic. I sure do miss my man. He is working in California this week and has stopped by to visit his mom for Mother's Day. Can't wait to see him tomorrow!
