A Visit to Debbie's......

On the way home from Disneyland and Newport Beach we stopped by to visit with Debbie (Steve's sis) and his mom. They live in Hesperia California. She had a nice Easter dinner planned for us. YUMMY!

Mom is an AMAZING lady! I have been so impressed as I have met with members of Steve's family. His many brothers and sisters are all such wonderful, fun-loving, happy people. I credit their mom for the way she raised them all. She taught them the value of good work, high values and honesty in all they do. She has welcomed me into the family with open arms and I love her so much!

Sarah (Debbie's Daughter) was there to visit for Easter as well. She pulled out the book of pictures to look through with Lyssi. It was cute to watch her explain stories about the different people in each picture. It was fun to see and visit with her again.
Debbie took Karah and I to the nearby lake and showed us around as Steve stayed at the house to visit with his mom for a while. When we got back we sat around and played with the girls.

Debbie is a NUT just like their Papa Howie. A "nut" in a good way! She had the girls giggling as they played this game.
They would come up with different moves and see if the other person could "copy" them. I am not sure where she got all of this energy to spend with the kids. I could barely get my lazy butt off the couch to join them. I was exhausted from the past 3 days. It was fun to watch them though!
She was rolling all over the floor with them just laughing and giggling. She mentioned in one of the videos how she was getting HOT! Yeah, I bet you were, Debbie! You were ALL OVER THE PLACE and the kids LOVED IT!!!

In the game the kids would come up with some bazaar move or contortion and say, "CAN YOU DO THIS???" Karah is a pretty flexible little girl.

Sarah was a great sport and joined in on the fun. She also played this "ride the pony" game with the girls where she bounces them on her lap and sings this cute song. A few weeks later, once we were home, I heard Karah playing downstairs with her stuffed animal and she was singing the words to that song. She was adorable as she bounced it on her knee and sang and giggled.
Here are two short video clips of them playing on the floor together....

They asked if Grandma wanted to join them but she said she had a hard time even getting in the bath tub....Don't think she will be getting down on the floor and rolling around, anytime soon :)

The girls really enjoyed themselves at Debbie's house.
Besides rolling on the ground together the girls also acted out parts of Disney movies and had us try to guess which ones they were. Beauty and the beast was their favorite because Lyssi was pretending to be Gaston and opened up her jacket to show us the hair on her chest! They were giggling so much as they did it. Before they went to bed for the night Karah also shared their favorite scripture story about Laban and Nephi.
Wish we could have stayed a little longer. I really love it there and always feel so welcomed. We always enjoy visiting and catching up on what everyone has been up to. We only slept over that night and left EARLY in the morning to head for home.
The girls were sound asleep for a large portion of the trip but once they woke up they were in silly moods. At one point I turned around to find Karah with this "CUTE HAT" that she had made out of a plastic bag. What a goof-ball!!! So dang cute though. She looks like Aunt Jamima or something. Karah is a doll!!!

When Lyss woke up she was hugging "Whitney" her little rabbit. She clung to that thing everynight. I am so glad we decided to bring Whitney and Kate (Karah's stuffed animal) on this trip. It is funny how attached they both are to these stuffed animals.
When I told Lyss that we were heading home she was pretty sad. Then I said "maybe we should go back to Didsneyland! Would you like that?" She thought I was serious!!! She got a huge smile on her face and said, "YES!!! I love Dizzyland!"
Since we have returned I have been asked at least a dozen times WHEN ARE WE GOING BACK? The girls will wake up in the morning and come into my room all drowsy and climb into bed with Howie and I and the first thing they ask is...."Can we go to Disneyland today???" I think they liked the trip JUST A LITTLE BIT :)
Steve says he wants to make it an anual event....as for me WELL....we will have to see. Fun times, great memories, and special time spent with our girls that we will cherish always!
