Ashlee invited me to come watch Brayden play a T-Ball game.
He looked so dang cute in his little Bees uniform

Watching him getting ready for his game brought back so many memories of his mommy playing when she was young. I spent HOURS watching those softball games and it seems like it wasn't that long ago. Now I have a grandson playing....WHERE DID THE TIME GO! Man, I am getting OLD!!!!

I love his smile as he was showing me his SWING! He was really cheezin' it.

He was all smiles, even when he was up to bat.

Yeah!!!! He made it safely to first base. Here he is looking for some guidance as to whether he should continue running to the next base. Hmmmm....when in doubt.....RUN!!!!!

Way to hustle, Jack!

It was really fun to watch him interact with the other boys on his team

He thought it was so funny to walk up to a friend and then flip off his hat. He was walking from one boy to the other just laughing as he knocked their hat off their head. THIS WAS DURING THE GAME!!! His back was to the ball for a large portion of this inning.

Here he is getting instruction from one of his coaches...
He actually has a pretty strong hit. It doesn't take much though to hit a homerun in T-ball but he did hit it past the chalk line! He was so cute!
He was even able to get a hit off the coach pitching to him. They have a choice to either hit it off the tee or have the coach pitch it to them. He hung in there and got another hit. VERY good Jack-Jack!

As for their defense there was absolutely no rhyme or reason as to where anyone stood on the field. They just clumped all together and buzzed around like a swarm of bees attacking the ball once it was hit. At least they lived up to their team name...THE BEES!!! Here they are tackling each other in hopes to be the ONE to come up with the ball.
Lots of confusion, arguing, and fighting over the ball. I applaud anyone who is willing to donate their time and energy to coach small kids, so I shouldn't complain BUT... this could get DANGEROUS! The coaches really need to come up with a better plan than just to let the kids have a FREE-FOR-ALL as they race to the ball.

Right in the middle of the game Brayden just walked off the field to talk with his mom. You can also see that some of the kids were just sitting on the ground not even paying attention. SO DANG FUNNY!

Once he got his drink he was back to finish off the game.
He spent a large portion of the game just talking with his coaches. I think they must have so much patience to help these little ones stay focussed and learn the game.

I thought when I looked over at him he was rubbing his eyes like he was crying. He had just walked over to ask if he could go home and his mom explained that the game was almost over. I thought he was just sad so I decided to snap a picture of his MELT DOWN!

But then I was watching some of the video footage that I took that day, and saw what really happened. He wasn't crying at all!!!! The boys were all sitting there waiting for their turn at bat, and they were having a HUGE grass fight. He was all giggles. Grass just got in his eyes so he was rubbing them. Still looks like he was crying to me :)

Giving HIGH FIVE to the other team once the game ended. This was quite the experience. I have never seen a T-ball game so I had no idea what to expect. It is such a joy to watch my grandchildren grow up and get involved in these activities. Before you know it he will be playing in the BIG LEAGUE! Thank you Ash for inviting me to come. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!!!
