After we finished up with the Sea Life Aquarium I walked the boys through part of Lego Land to look around, while we waited for Howie to be finished with his training. I did not want to take too much time there because we had planned on "PLAYING" tomorrow so that Papa Howie could be with us. I didn't want to spoil the fun.
Playing in the water....
Cute LEGO water animals to use as Target Practice
Riding the train....
Riding around the LEGO cornfields
Hanging out in the playground area....
These boys were on their BEST behavior. They played soooo well together. I loved watching the two of them. SOOOO CUTE!
Playing in the fountains....
They played in this area for over an hour
When you would step on these yellow circles the water would spray up at them. If they stayed in the center of the circle then they would NOT get wet. Brayden thought that it was pretty awesome that he could stand there and be COMPLETELY dry! It took a little prompting from their Grandma T to convince the boys that it is WAY MORE FUN to actually GET WET! Brayden thought they would be in BIG trouble if he got his shirt wet. NOT WITH GRANDMA.....The WETTER....the BETTER!!!!
They boys had so much fun once they started getting wet. Luke kept trying to drink the water. Not sure how safe that was but.....he survived! FUN TIMES!
My drenched boys......
ROTATE YOUR COMPUTER SCREEN
I had to put these next three pictures in (even though they would NOT rotate) because I don't want to forget the funny story that goes behind them. The picture above is one of Jack.....Remember I mentioned how he was so concerned in the fountains that he would be in trouble if he got his shirt wet? Just a few minutes after leaving the fountain section, we found this fun water area. He REALLY wanted to go play in it but once again mentioned to me about not wanting to get in trouble for getting his shirt wet. I told him if he doesn't want to get his shirt wet then he could just take the darn thing off. He seemed sooooo relieved! "GREAT IDEA Grandma T" "You are sooo SMART!!!" He proceeded to take off his shirt and ran away to have fun. Notice how he is standing UNDER that purple bucket? That was FILLED with water and he got DRENCHED! More than once I might add!!!! I don't think he had a DRY SPOT on him. He ran back to me after playing for a while and said...."Thanks for taking care of my shirt. I just did not want to get in trouble by my mom!" I laughed to myself. I thought....If she saw how SOPPING wet you were right now....I WOULD BE THE ONE IN TROUBLE!!!!!!
The next story is with these two pictures. I thought it was ADORABLE! Brayden was REALLY looking out for his little brother the entire day. He was acting so grown up. We were standing in line waiting to get on a ride and I noticed Brayden following this man's EVERY move. The man would take a step...so would Brayden. Then the funny part came.....
Brayden did not know that I was listening to their conversation. I heard him say softly to his little brother...."This is how a REAL MAN stands in a line." He then continued, "You need to put one foot up on this stair and keep your other foot down below."
What the heck????? Once they got further up the stairs Brayden instructed Luke to hold onto the railing. It was so dang funny. He would randomly peek back at his brother to MAKE SURE that he was "Standing" properly! I was LAUGHING my head off! (QUIETLY of course because I did not want to ruin the MOMENT!) I wish I would have thought to videotape it because it was priceless. Each time the "real man" took a step- so did my boys! I am so glad that they figured out that day what it takes to be a REAL MAN!!!!
Driving Cars....
I had told the boys when we entered Lego Land that we WOULD NOT be riding rides until tomorrow when Papa Howie could be with us. WELL.....they BEGGED and BEGGED me to let them drive the cars. Their grandma finally gave in! I am glad that I did. They were in HEAVEN! It was so cute watching them concentrate so hard to make sure that they did NOT crash their cars. SOOOO CUTE!
Brayden chose to sit in the back of the car for this picture. He was LOVIN' this sexy Lego Lady. He kept looking at her and saying, "Ooo-La-La"
Showing off their Drivers License.
Boat Ride.....
Can you say....CONCENTRATION?
Lego Creations.....
Everywhere throughout the park we found fun characters. For some reason the boys LOVED this guy who looked like he was asleep on the park bench. When I began taking pictures it looked like the boys were "being boys" and sticking their finger up this guy's nose. NOPE! Jack informed me that he was putting his finger there to shush him. You can even tell from Jack's face.....they were both saying shhhhhhhhh.
Luke kept gently patting this guy on the chest. He kept saying..."I like this guy! I really like him!"
The boys really liked this Firefighter with his dalmation dog.
I wonder how many hours someone spent making this. Pretty cool!
The boys were intrigued by this dog. They really checked him out. Jack got "UP CLOSE and PERSONAL" So funny!
Thought I would post these even though I could not get them to ROTATE!!!!! So frustrating. If you are interested enough to check these two picts out....just rotate your dang computer. URRRRRGGGG!
Cute boys....Stupid computer :(
Snack Time....
Storybook Ride......
This ride was so cute. It was a short boat ride, winding through the park, with music and bits from popular children stories. SO CREATIVE. The boys really liked it.
Safari Jeep Ride......
All of the animals were made of Legos. Very cool....
Jack did not have a partner so this nice park worker went on the ride with him. Brayden was not one bit hesitant to go with a stranger. He just wanted to GET BEHIND THE WHEEL once again. He LOVED it!
Digging for Dino Bones...
When the day was winding down we went over to the sand pit and the boys dug around to discover dinosaur bones while I sat down and relaxed.
They did not want to leave. They both wanted to dig out the ENTIRE dinosaur out of the sand pit before they were done. It took them a long time to realize that IT WAS NOT HAPPENING!!!! Time to HEAD out and see Papa Howie at the Hotel!
One last look at the cool Lego Display before we head back. See Ya tomorrow Legoland!
Heading back....
Fun toy from Sea Life Aquarium....
Waiting for Papa and DRYING out from our day at the park
We had a nice patio area at the hotel and the kids loved sitting there drawing pictures for their mom and dad. I am so glad that we had a patio....it helped to dry out their soggy shoes.
By the time Howie got home and we got something to eat it was time for bed. BUT....You can NEVER end a day in a hotel room WITHOUT a pillow fight!
I know the pictures are quite blurry but you can tell how much FUN the boys had with their Papa Howie.
Screams and squeals from the boys....
Papa Howie is UNDER the pile of pillows! I think the boys WON!!
They got CAPTURED!!!!!
Notice how quickly their smiles and laughs change into.....
Sadness :(
They just found out that it was time for bed. They were NOT happy about that ONE BIT!
It did not take them long to ZONK out for the night
What a lonnnnng day!
Sweet dreams boys!
I have some funny videos I plan on posting from the WILD pillow fight. Not sure how they get all of that energy to wrestle around for hours with their papa. FUN memories- that's for sure!!!
Tomorrow morning it is BACK to Legoland! Good night :)
