We woke up to a "white out" this morning....I could not even see out of my glass door into the front yard.
Steve almost talked me into opening present on Christmas Eve again this year. He is still a kid at heart and I think it drives him nuts to wait. He gets so excited each year. I love this man so much I can't stand it. I talked him into waiting for a few more hours and opening them first thing Christmas morning.....
Opening gifts..... An IPOD NANO for his running
Since we have been married Howie has told me that he does not really like to wear bathrobes. I thought since he did not have one then-how could he know! So I decided to get one for him anyway this year and GUESS WHAT!!! He absolutely LOVES IT!!! I find him wearing it even in the afternoon when I come home from work. It has been a really cold winter and he loves things that are super soft. So it has really come in handy this year.
There is a funny story that goes along with this gift I gave to Steve. I won't go into it today but I think it was a surprise for him to receive it this Christmas morning :)
Needless to say, HE LOVES waffles. Especially those made by our dear friend Randy Holman! Hopefully I can get his recipe to keep "my man" happy and healthy!
No pictures of me this morning because Howie LOVES me! I looked like crap and there was no way I was going to let him snap any picture of me that day! I guess it would have been better to have opened them the night before because at least I looked ALIVE!!! Howie spoiled me once again with a gorgeous necklace, some pretty lotion, and some sweet smellin' perfume.
I could not get a nice picture of my tree this year no matter how hard I tried. It looked much, much better in person I think.
After we opened up our gifts and had a yummy breakfast we headed off to see my mom.
We spent a few hours at my mom's house visiting with her this Christmas day. She had prepared delicious food to snack on and we had fun visiting with my sister and her family.
April and Shawn dropped by while we were there. It was nice to see April and Shawn at my mom's house today. BONUS time with them for the holidays.
The girls had fun playing at "Grams" house. She has those stuffed animals that sing and dance whenever you press a button and they loved playing with them.
Aprils's sweet family....Hey Lyss is getting away!
I absolutely love to hear the laughs and giggles of my grandkids. It is so wonderful being grandparents. It is a great joy in our lives. This has been a fun Christmas season with all of them around.
Merry Christmas 2008
