Car Clean Up.....

April and the girls slept over one night in July while Shawn was deployed to Afghanistan. When I woke up early the next morning I looked out at my driveway and saw all three of our cars parked out front. I could not believe how DIRTY they all were. We have had an extremely busy summer so they have been neglected quite a bit. Everyone was asleep inside, and it was nice and cool outside, so I thought it was the perfect time to wash the cars. I gathered the supplies and turned around to find "Boo". She had woken up and came out to find her Grandma T. We decided to work as a team to clean them all up. We wanted to surprise Papa Howie and April with shiny sparkly clean cars.
"Which one should we start with Grandma T?"

She chose to start with Papa Howie's car because as she put it...
"it is the shiniest, so we better clean his first!" (makes sense to me, start with the easy one)
To tell you the truth I was pretty sure that this would not last for long. I thought she would put a few "bubbles" on it and then get bored and want to go inside to play, but NO......I was wrong!

She tugged and pulled on the hose......

Rinsed and rinsed to make it just right.....

She found spots we missed that needed to be "cleaned better"

Then it was time for the tires......

She scrubbed these for ten minutes.......No kidding!

Almost done...... time for one sweet pose

Then back to work.....

Time to dry........
.

It was so cute watching her because she spent most of the time on her tippy toes, reaching as high as she could to clean and dry his car. She would be working and then I would hear her start quietly giggling as she'd say "Papa Howie is going to be soooo surprised" then she would focus back at her job at hand. WAY CUTE!!!

Seriously I was in shock at how she stayed focused on making sure his car was just right.

I talked her into taking a break to splash in the puddles. That is the most important thing in life.... Have fun while you work!

Hey Boo... Your splashes are getting the car wet

YIKES!!!!

The next car she chose to do was her mom's BIG car.

I asked her if she'd rather go in and eat breakfast but NO WAY....

There is work that needs to be done!

We needed more "Bubbles" for the big car

I seriously need to hire this girl out....

What a hard worker she is!

She told me that she had a great idea.....

She went into the garage and came out dragging my ladder behind her.

She is a pretty bright little girl....

See Grandma T.... Now I can reach the tall parts!

I was amazed as she worked with me for over an hour washing, scrubbing, rinsing, and drying all of our cars. She did not stop until they were all done. It was a nice surprise for her mommy to wake up and see her shiny new clean car. Karah was so proud of what she had done. I enjoy my grandkids so much and as they grow older it even gets better. They have a way of making work into a fun and enjoyable memory. Thanks Karah Boo! I adore you!
