Liberty Park ......

Shawn's Birthday 2008.....

We gathered together as a family at Liberty Park to celebrate Shawn's birthday. It was such a nice evening and we enjoyed ourselves a ton.

Getting all the "fixins" together......

Mike the Master Chef.....

Brayden is all ready to dig in......

I guess he figures he can get more chips out of the bag if he uses these giant tongs. He worked on it for quite some time with no success.

He finally gave up and took one chip at a time out of the bag with his hands, placed them between the tongs, and then put them on his plate. Such patience. What a funny boy!

Delicious food!

Yum! The best part of a picnic are the olives....

Aunt April teaching Luke to eat them the "Robinson" way....

Oh yeah baby.... Finger lickin' good!

My girls licking the bowl of pudding dessert.....

Oh no... I've seen that look before. They are up to something!

Hey it is suppose to go IN the mouth....

FOOD FIGHT!!!

April got a wicked idea to involve me in this escapade. Not fair I was not even hungry for that sticky stuff. Didn't matter to her..... My face got smeared with it compliments of my darling, sweet, kind and loving daughter, April.

Lyssi just watching her mom and Ashlee playing with their food. Learning what NOT to do to their poor innocent mom. Hey be nice to my Grandma "T"

The moment April got me she took off running as fast as she could. I swear she ran to the other end of the park before she turned around. Now those of you who know me well are probably shocked to find out that I did not chase after her. I did not want to waste my energy running after her. She had just better watch her back. When she least expects it "SHE'S GOIN' DOWN! I don't get mad - I get even!

Ashlee and the kids ran after her for me and attacked her. Way to go guys!

Lyssi watching me clean off my face. Hey buddy you should run off with the other kids and attack your mom for me "K"

It seems like a long time has passed since we were ALL able to meet together as a family. So this day was a special treat for me to see everyone together. Work schedules are CRAZY! I really do have a wonderful family and feel blessed to have each one of them in my life.

Just some pictures of the people I love and adore!

Birthday hugs.....

Boo with Howie....The dog

Besides just hanging out and visiting together we kept ourselves busy. It was a lot of FUN!

We had fun climbing trees.......

Thanks Aunt Ashlee....I like it up here!

Jacks turn......

Daddy has his own way to get me in up in the tree. "Just Heave Ho" and up I go!

Playing Airplane.....

WEEEEE!

Hey Tyson you are some pilot! Go easy on the landing cuz you have precious cargo there!

Playing Frisbee....

Ash hanging with the guys..... Hey you are suppose to jump, dive or roll to catch that thing, Dawnie! Never let a frisbee touch the ground :)

Playing at the playground.....

Brady loved this thing. He would climb the ladder, run down the ramp, spin these and then slide down the slide. He repeated this for at least a half hour. I wish I had some of this energy the grand kids have. I think they should share!

Swinging on the Swings.....

I love this chair swing they had. It was probably not made for my big butt but I used it anyway!

Daddy's little girl.......

Myh son-in-laws are great Daddies...

Hey get some shirts on these boys.....

And why are they soooo wet?

Running Through the Sprinklers.....

Okay this explains the wet boys.....

They had this little play area at the park where the kids could play in the sprinklers. Then every so often the fountains would come on.

The boys loved this.......

But were not too fond of the fountains....

Lukie made a new little friend.....

It was fun to see them laugh and giggle together as they played.

Playing in the Dollhouse....

The girls found this cute little house to play in.

These girls are such good sisters to each other.

There is that smile I love so much!

My sweet "BOO"

"Ouchie-Ka-Bouchies".....

Pinecones have a new name in our family. Ever since my trip to Oklahoma to visit April we decided to change its name. Boo was only 1 year old and I had taken her on a walk in the park. We were on a fall scavenger hunt to see how many things we could find that we see in the autumn time. We collected them in a basket and then planned to take them home and make a collage. Anyway.... When Boo bent down to pick one up the sharp edges pricked her finger. It made her cry. So as I was talking with her about how you have to handle them carefully I told her they were called Ouchie-Ka-Bouchies. (Cuz they caused her an ouchie) Pretty strange I know but it stuck. There are a lot of wacko words I use with my grand kids that you will never find in the dictionary but the kids remember them.

Look Grandma "T" I found one too!

Hey Lyssi are you still hungry. Why are you munching on that pine needle? Birthday cake is almost ready!

Luke loves to do this to me when I hold him. He sticks his hand on my face and pushes as hard as he can. He basically pokes my eyeballs out of their sockets, and dislocates my neck in the process, but he giggles and laughs the entire time. Not sure what is so funny about it but he loves to do it.

Be nice to your OLD GRANDMA "T"

Cake and Icecream.....

Finally time to dig into the Birthday cake.....

April made this cake and it was so yummy!

Lighting the candle was a trick because it was a windy day. Shawn needed some help blowing out his candle because now he is officially an old man! 30 BIG ONES!

I just like this picture of Howie and Mike.
They are Buddies!

Hiding under the table to eat their icecreams. That is probably a good place for them since they do not have all of their clothes on. That picnic table is GREAT sunscreen. They won't have to worry about getting burned.
This evening at the park was very enjoyable. I was surprised as I was posting these pictures that I don't have many of Steve and I don't even have ONE of the both of us together. What happened there? Anyway, I love my family, I love my husband, I love my new life!

Happy Birthday, Shawn!
