Planning their day...
This was their favorite thing to do once we arrived each day. They would both grab a map of Disneyland and decide where it was that they wanted to go to first.

It was funny that they always would point to the "PINK" section of the map. Luckily that was
Fantasyland and that is where the majority of the kiddie rides were.
Karah really wanted to check out the "Princess Castle" first thing this morning.

I was pretty amazed when I saw this picture of us. NOBODY WAS AROUND in the background. Disneyland was WAY crowded this day but this picture makes it look like we are the only ones there. Not sure how that one worked out :)

Boo with Grandma T....

This castle was designed after the
Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. I was able to go visit that castle when April was living there a few years ago. VERY COOL!
This was DEFINITELY a FUN FILLED DAY! We had decided to "hit the kiddie rides" first thing this morning before it got really crowded.
THE CAROUSEL.....

Once we walked passed the carousel ride both girls went running and screaming to go on that ride first.
Karah was pretty proud of herself....Once she was through the gate she ran as fast as she could to choose a horse. As soon as she was all strapped in she said, "WHEW...I got the EXACT horse I wanted! It's a good thing that I know how to run so fast!!" SHE IS A DOLL!

I am pretty sure this is the first time
Lyss has been on any amusement park rides and she was in HEAVEN! She giggled the entire ride!

It was so adorable to watch Alyssa...
Grinning from ear to ear!

Carousel FUN!
Being a grandparent is the BEST!
I LOVE THESE SMILES
Lyssi's giggle.....PRICELESS!!!
Dumbo.....
This morning the lines were not long at all. It was a BEAUTIFUL spring day. The kids really had fun with us as we waited for the rides.
Here Steve is making Alyssa DIZZY at
"DIZZY-NEE-LAND!"

Lots of fun waiting to ride Dumbo....

Papa with
Lyss FLYING through the air....
Howie and Lyss were two "Dumbo's" behind us, so you can see at the beginning of the video a short section of them flying around. Karah was so excited when I told her that she got to drive us ALL BY HERSELF. She said... "I know , It is because I am all grown up now, huh!" Karah drove us UP and DOWN and UP and DOWN! She had fun taking the controls and giving us ONE CRAZY ride!
Whew....We landed safely!
The Teacups.....
Whoever designed Disneyland was VERY brilliant. They put these bars for the kids to play on as they wait for the rides. At least my grand kids thought they were monkey bars.
They climbed on them, swung from them and walked along the tops of them, as we waited for each ride over the three day visit there.

Karah was really excited to be riding on the teacups. She kept saying "I think this ride is going to be my favorite!" She said that on a lot of the rides but I think she really DID love this one.
Papa giving directions on how to be the FASTEST spinning teacup around.
We were "spinnin fools"
We were going so fast that Lyss had a hard time hanging on. THEY LOVED IT!
Alyssa loved it so much she did NOT want to get off the teacup. She BARRICADED her papa in and DID not want him to leave.
She was pretty upset about leaving and had a little tantrum. She basically crawled out on her knees.
Storybook Land....

Across from the teacups Boo spotted this HUGE whale. She was so excited to see people in BOATS going into its mouth. That was the next ride she wanted to try out.

As we waited to load our boat we spotted THE DUCK!

He must be following us. WHO SAID HE COULD JOIN IN ON OUR TRIP TO DISNEYLAND! GOOOOO HOME already!!!

Me and my BUDDY!

Open wide....We're coming through!

This ride had some pretty amazing miniature displays which the kids LOVED!

Especially
Karah....SHE WAS IN AWE!

Cool castle high atop the mountain...
Every time we turned another corner you could hear the squeals of
Karah. "Oh Grandma T...LOOK AT THAT!!!"

"Ahhh...Grandma T, I love that teeny tiny town"

This was by far Karah's favorite ride. She even told me a week or so after we got home that the boat ride through the fish mouth was her most favorite! Lyssi didn't say much about it. She just quietly sat on her Papa's lap and observed it all. I personally think she was wishin she was back on the teacup ride. MUCH MORE EXCITING!
California Adventure....

After the fun at fantasyland we decided to head over to California Adventure to see some shows at the Disney Showhouse and to checkout the Bugs Life area of the park.

When we entered the park this group was performing from High School Musical. They were great. We sat back and enjoyed the music as we ate lunch and relaxed. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

More climbing! She thought the flowers were PRETTY!

When High School Musical finished their show they shot out confetti and streamers. Karah and Lyss were so excited to run up and get some to play with.

All loaded up and ready to check out the BUGS LIFE!
By the way, I have to say I LOVE the idea I got from my niece Cheryl about renting strollers. My grandkids were perfectly ABLE to walk around the park but it was so nice to have something to store our treats, lunch, jackets, and water in. PERFECT! The girls just took turns riding in it throughout our visit.

Waiting in line for Bumper Bugs....

Look out Howie, she is a crazy driver.
GET THAT SEATBELT ON!

Lyss was excited to drive A BUG!

Such concentration...

Yummy churros.....

Karah being a BIG helper and pushing her sis!

There were a lot of fun characters hanging out to meet, but the lines were outragious. We just snapped some pictures of some of our favorite. Lyssi didn't like to get close to them anyways.

Karah did pop in and got a picture with this guy BUT I have NO IDEA who he even is. She thought it was pretty cool though. SHE SAID.. "Grandma T, he has the softest hands and FUNNY hair!"
We really enjoyed California Adventure. The Playhouse show and the Nemo show was SUPER! Time to head back to Disneyland to see the Parade. We planned on coming back to C.A. later. LOTS to see and LOTS to do!
