Disneyland Day Two~ Part ll.....

Minnie and Donald Duck.....

When we headed back to Disneyland we saw some more of the Disney characters in the center of Main Street. Karah really wanted to meet Minnie Mouse. Lyss watched from a distance for a while but decided she wanted to go with Howie to find a seat for the parade instead of meeting Minnie.

Karah was a little apprehensive at first (I think it was because Minnie was so full of energy and bouncing all over the place) I wondered if Boo would even approach her once it got to our turn.
I am glad Boo did NOT chicken out because I think this picture is so stinkin cute. I wish Lyss would have come with us. It's just NOT her "cup of tea"
Karah REALLY wanted her Grandma T to get a picture with Minnie Mouse too.
We also saw Donald Duck.

I almost had Alyssa talked into going up to give Donald a hug BUT when I walked her over there Donald had to leave for the parade to begin. BUMMER. She was next in line. At least she got a CLOSE UP look him.

The CELEBRATE Parade....

Howie got us a GREAT seat for the "Celebrate Street Party" Parade down Main Street. They were FRONT and CENTER!!!
Our seats just happened to be right in front of this movie theatre on Main Street. It was PERFECT because then the girls could watch the black and white movies of Mickey and Minnie Mouse while they waited for the parade to begin. They felt VERY grown up to be able to sit inside "WITHOUT" us, and watch the movie. We would peek in every few minutes to make sure they were okay and there they sat, together, holding hands, enjoying the show! SO CUTE!
Waiting for the Parade...

I love to see Lyss and Papa together. They have such a wonderful relationship. He is so dang cute with her :)
YEAH! The parade finally began! It was more like a "street party" for this parade. Lots of involvement from the crowd. Lots of singing and dancing!

They chose the girls from the audience and had them join in on the Conga Line Dance around Main Street!

I was surprised that they weren't afraid one bit! They actually really enjoyed themselves.

They also had fun during the drum section where they passed out drums to the audience. Lyss was once again.....ALL SMILES!

Like I mentioned before, Steve got some pretty awesome seats. We were right up front and had a wonderful view of all of the Disney Characters. The girls really had a GREAT time!

Submarine Voyage.....

More "standing in line" FUN!

Lyssi tickling her Papa with her newly made TOY!

Made from a nearby WEED!

These girls are VERY resourceful! They can turn a blade of grass into a necklace or a bracelet in a BLINK OF AN EYE! They are always so proud of their new creations.

TA-DAAAA !
Not a MOMENT of boredom with these girls!

They are so good at entertaining themselves!

My little Monkeys.....

Just "hanging" around waiting for the ride!

The Finding Nemo Submarine ride
was really worth the wait.
SO FUN!
I was a little claustrophobic though!
THE GIRLS LOVED IT!

Autopia....
This car ride did not even have a line. Most people were probably eating dinner at this point. NOT US! We were DIE-HARDS when it came to getting as many rides in as possible in a single day!

This was HILARIOUS! Boo was a little concerned about steering the car all by herself. Luckily she had a track that kept us on the road. We were bumping ALL OVER THE PLACE! She was basically BEGGING me to take over the wheel!

Once she got a little bit of confidence she did a great job. She was really trying hard to stay on the road and turn JUST RIGHT!!! Very fun ride to share with Boo!

When the ride was about to end, and she realized that we had ACTUALLY SURVIVED IT, She said to me...."I can tell I am going to be a GREAT driver when I grow up!" Pretty CONFIDENT there, Karah! Keep practicing!
The girls both got a driver's license when they finished the ride. They were pretty impressed!

Lyssi drove with Howie and they had a very SMOOTH ride. Steve said that she did all of the steering in his car but that is HARD TO BELIEVE! I don't think I saw them jerk or swerve even ONE TIME!!!! What a PRO!

Time for Howie to DRIVE the girls back to the shuttle.
Lyss likes it much better on Papa's shoulders rather than being squished in the stroller with her big sis.

Steve teaching the kids how to "hop-scotch" their way back to the car. We went back to rest at the hotel for a few hours before the fireworks that night. We had spent almost 10 hours straight at the park this day and we needed a break.

Fireworks Show....

This was one LONG day. It was very fun but by the time fireworks came along Lyss was about TOAST!!! We went and found a SPOT of ground to sit on in the middle of MAIN STREET.
It was a FABULOUS show....

Lyssi got a better look from HIGH A TOP her Papa's shoulders

Short clip of the fireworks.....

I love the look of "WONDER" from sweet Boo's eyes....

The girls fell asleep INSTANTLY on the trolley ride back to our car. What a day! I guess there will be NO PILLOW FIGHTS this night. They actually fell asleep STANDING while we were waiting for the shuttle. TWO TIRED LITTLE GIRLS!

OUT COLD!!!

I am shocked that they survived such a LONG fun filled day. What kind of grandparents keep their kids up this late???

I think this picture is so funny because if you know Lyss she HATES shoes. The moment she gets into the car her shoes come OFFFFF!!! Not sure how she managed to take off ONE shoe and sock but left the other one on. She must have done it in her sleep and didn't have the energy to get the other one off.
Well we have ONE MORE DAY at Disneyland. Better get some sleep!!!

I love your pictures and videos! Man does it make me want to go back! I need to pull out my video camera and watch that firework show again, I forgot we filmed it until I saw yours-and it was fabulous!
