"The Stockings Were Hung"......

Just before bed it was time to hang the Christmas stockings.....

Karah went first.....

We had told them that if they had been "GOOD" that past year then Santa would fill up their stockings with candy and gifts. We had each of the kids tell us three things that they have done this past year that was good.

Hey Santa....Karah has been a GOOOOD GIRL!

Check out her video clip.

Alyssa went next. She had her mind set on where she wanted to hang her stocking. She also wanted to explain to us about how she decorated her stocking. She is a doll. As far as her telling us about what she had done good this year....well she had no part in that. I guess she just assumes that Santa knows what a good little girl she has been.

Brayden's video clip was a little messed up so there is three separate parts. Here he is hanging it up and wanting to spell his name to us. The kids really loved the glitter that they put on their names.

Here he is spelling his name once the stocking was hung....

Brayden was good to his brother, his mom and dad, and his cousin Karah.

Luke was mainly concerned about the safety of his newly decorated stocking. He was sure that the fire would burn it up. He is such a cutie! He is definitely a good little grandson.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St Nicolas SOON WOULD BE THERE!!!

Bedtime Stories.....

I generally like to read Christmas stories to the grandkids but all of mine were at my home. At least we watched the nativity videos with them. Anyway....this is one of my favorite things to do with my grandkids.

There is nothing quite like these sweet kids snuggling up close to us as we read them these books. No other distractions, they are nice and TIRED so they just sit and snuggle.
I LOVE IT!!!

You can tell that Karah is about to CRASH. Whenever she gets really tired you can find her playing with her ears. She has done that ever since she was very small.

There is nothing quite like being grandparents. SO MUCH FUN! I have so much love for these little ones.

It was quite the trick to get these kids to sleep. Talk about "musical beds" Luke wanted to sleep inside Lyssi's closet so Ash set it all up for him. Nice and cozy!

Brayden chose to sleep UNDER Karah's bed.....

Crazy boy! This does NOT look very comfortable....
Lyss rolled around the room with all of her stuffed animals. Looks like she wants to sleep inside her book shelf. At one point she had her whole body stuffed in the bottom shelf of it. She is a crack up.

The kids ended up all sleeping in one room side by side on cushions on the floor. The more we tried to help them settle down the more that they wanted to play. Finally we just left them in their room and went off to start our own gingerbread houses. It was so dang cute to hear the laughing and giggling coming from their room. They finally fell asleep together after a very long day of fun and activities.
