Once we got the kids to bed it was time for the adults to make their own gingerbread houses. We generally try to have some sort of service project at these Christmas parties. This year we decided to make these houses for their grandmas. Something to brighten up and decorate their homes. We made three of them....one for their Grams, one for their Oma and one for Linda (their grandpa's wife) she just lost her husband this past year and we thought it would be good to give her a visit during this Christmas season because we knew she would be lonely.
Tyson making icicles.....
April getting started on her house.....
Lookin' good April.....

Howie is hard at work!
I was covered in icing when we were finally finished. My bag kept ooozing out frosting. ONE STICKY MESS!!! EWWWWW! I even made a mess out of April's bag which she was NOT happy about :)
Our finished house....
April's masterpiece....
She is a perfectionist and makes everything look so nice! Very cute house April!
Ash and Ty's work of art!
Awesome house Ashlee and Tyson! I love your snowman!!!!
Do you love the SPAZZED OUT gingerbread grandma? Looks like she needs to "WAX" her upper lip or something!!! She has some pretty "stylin' coconut hair don't ya think?
The back side of our house. The icing was NOT cooperating. Okay maybe it was the person trying to draw the straight lines. I actually SUCK at making these houses! I just shouldn't compare it to my girl's houses.
We had a lot of fun working for a few hours on these houses. It was nice to visit and laugh together with no kids interrupting us. I am actually a bit surprised that we did not wake them up with all of our laughing that night. We got pretty loud at times. LOTS, and LOTS of fun with my kids.... LOVED IT!
By the time we finished our houses it was WAY LATE! Time to get to sleep because in a few short hours the kids will be up to open presents and church is at 9:00 AM!!! Man are we ever going to be TIRED!!!
