Mommy's Big Helpers.....

Since April's surgery she was unable to shower so her hair was in dire need of a shampoo. Karah jumped at the chance to wash her mommy's hair. Karah and Lyss both HATE to get their hair washed in the bathtub so April plays "beauty shop" with them and lets them lay on the countertop and she uses the sprayer in the kitchen sink to wash their hair. Well, now it was mommy's turn!
First Karah got a washcloth to put on her mom's eyes so that water would not get in. Then she carefully wet her hair. It was cute to see how she was so very careful to make sure the water did NOT get in her mommy's ears.

Time to suds it up with the shampoo.....

Rinse time......

Nice style April.... You are such a cute mom!

All done and ready to be combed out.....

I love her little hairdresser...

Karah worked for hours on her mom's hair. She spent at least 15 minutes just brushing it. April was saying later how much it hurt because Karah would push the bristles of the brush so hard against her head. I found out a week or so later what April was talking about. OUCH! I let Boo do my hair and....HOLY COW that hurts! She was so cute though to watch her taking care of her mommy with the "BROKEN FEET!"

Once it was all combed out it was time to blow it dry....

Karah thought this part was so much fun....
She dried........

and dried......

and dried!

April has the thickest hair of ANYONE I have EVER met. I have done a LOT of hair over the years and NEVER have I come across anyone quite like April. Her hair NEVER dries. SERIOUSLY it takes FOREVER to blow dry it. Karah was so patient! I did end up taking over Karah's blowdrying but soon gave up and let it just air dry the rest of the way. Karah was a wonderful help to her mom!

Lyss was a wonderful helper to her mommy as well. She was so good to push her mom in the wheelchair around the house.
She would push her into the bathroom.....
and into the other bathroom so that April could take a bath...

April had a tough time caring for herself during this month but her girls helped ease some of her pain and frustration. They were wonderful helpers and gave her lots and lots of hugs, kisses, and tons of LOVE!
