I had the wonderful opportunity to travel with my daughters to Hawaii this past month. Steve was working there for 3 weeks and decided to have the girls come along to take a break from thier crazy lives.

When they arrived in Honolulu I took the girls over to this lagoon area by the Hawaiian Hilton (across the street from our hotel) It is adjacent to the waikiki beach. It is a calm peaceful place to relax away from the crowded beach area. I have spent a LOT of time here just chillin' while Howie works. I love it! So pretty!

We had a good time just looking around and snapping pictures around the Hawaiian Village. My girls are GOOFY! I wonder where they get it from?

Aahhhh. I love pink flamingos!
Steve especially loves them (inside joke)
April and Ashlee both have a better camera than me so after a while I decided to just let them take the pictures. Mine don't even compare to theirs. I am sure that they will be posting about the trip soon. Here are just a few I took of the animals we saw.

They had a lot of turtles just relaxing on these rocks in a pond area.
It was fun to watch them try to climb up to the top. They would rest their heads on the back of the turtle in front of them. There were also some Penguins but my camera doesn't zoom like I needed to get a clear picture of them.

April with two of her new friends.
Hey Ape... Stay AWAY from MILITARY men!!!!

One of the offices that Howie works at is across the street from Alamoana Beach Park. I love the parks there. The trees are SOOOOO cool!

I think these are called Banyan trees but I am not sure. They have these vines that hang down and Ashlee tried swinging from them like TARZAN. Like I said before I didn't take many pictures so I did not capture her in action.
We picked Howie up from work and went to an awesome seafood buffet with a three story aquarium. I have pictures from a previous trip to Hawaii so I didn't take any this night. BUT...we had a great time and the food was Yummy as always. Lots of crab legs and great desserts. Yep! I DID gain weight on this trip. But it was well worth it!
We spent about 8 days together and so I am going to post the activities seperately on my blog this time. Usually I make one huge, gigantic post but decided to split it up this time.
Our afternoon and evening together was very enjoyable. It is nice to have some company while Steve is working. LOVED IT!

LUcKY! What a great place to enjoy your daughters! Do they really know what a cool mamma and pappa they have..I sure hope so! Can't wait to read and see more about it. We went to Oahu 2 years ago when Shawn was in school there. What a place..if I were a teen...that's where I would go to college FOR SURE!
It was so nice! I was sad to come home (even though I missed my girl's cuddles and giggles!) Thanks soooo much!
