Zip 'n Dip at Princeville Ranch.....

We arrived at Princeville very excited for the day ahead.

Three of the best things in my life!

We were all very eager to get the day started. The girls had never been zip lining before. They were in for a treat!

Howie and I had come here on our honeymoon several years ago. We enjoyed ourselves SO much that we thought that the girls should have this experience. It is a RIOT!

The safety equipment was set out and ready to go. We just needed to wait for our group to arrive.

Gearing up.......

This picture reminds me of the kids game that I played when I was young.....
"My blue shoe, how old are you?" or "Inka Binka, bottle of ink....Quart fell down and you STINK". Does anyone out there still do that game? Anyway...We were all ready to hit the road.

We loaded into our own little "Zip Mobile"

We are off for some MAJOR fun!

After a beautiful, wet, bumpy ride we arrived. I say "wet" because it had been raining and the tarp that covered our Zip-Mobile was filled with rain water. Each time they hit a bump in the road or turned a corner sharp then we would get wet!

When we arrived we got our "game faces" on and we were ready to go!

This day is filled with nine zip lines which are situated not too far away from each other. It makes for a very fun filled day without all of the strenuous exercise. The walk from place to place was very enjoyable. Even if it was raining!

Ash volunteered to be the first one on the zip line. Before each run they check to make sure you are securely fastened in....

And then with a running start.....YOU ARE OFF!

April went next......

Look out.....Here she comes!

The zip lines start off relatively easy and then they progressively get longer and longer...

Here is Howie coming in for a landing....

Yeah! My man made it safely across.

Ahhhhhh.....This is the life!

Everyone did a great job but some of the landings were pretty funny. Here is my "Dancer" April coming in with some sort of Ballet move or something. "Point those toes Ape!

Here is my "sports girl" Ashlee sliding into her landing. "AND SHE'S SAFE!!!"

It was raining off and on throughout the day and so I think the slipery landings were the funnest.

The landing that cracked me up the most is Howie's! I love the look on his face in this picture. It's like "OH CRAP....I came in backwards! Now what do I do?"

He was SO funny. He just walked himself up the ramp backwards, hanging on for dear life. (By the way Howie, I think this is where you hurt your arm)

He is so funny. I thought I had it on video but I realized that April had just snapped one picture after another of his landing and was showing me them on her camera. It was fun to see this new and interesting technique performed by my cute and adorable husband.

He arrived safe and sound to the landing pad. It's a good thing it was NOT raining at this time. His BUTT would be drenched! Howie had our group laughing the entire time. He did the same when I came with him on my honeymoon. The group back then told me that they could see why I married Howie. He is so funny and a HUGE CRACK-UP!

Yep! I love this crazy guy!

It was nice that our group was not too large. We didn't have to wait long in line till it was our turn. You're UP Ash! Have fun!!!

April was next.....

We were told that if you bring your legs up and curl like a ball that you go much, much faster.
She was really COOKIN'

This is a zip line which they said they were worried about the smaller women because they sometimes don't have the weight to make it all the way across. They told us to tuck up really tight to make sure we made it. I can't imagine how freaky it would be to be stuck dangling over the tree tops waiting to be rescued! I took a short video as I was zipping along.....

This video is of Ashlee crossing the Zipline. You can hear Ash just hootin' and hollering as she sped across the valley.

This video is of Howie. I missed the beginning as he was screaming and yelling when he took off. It was so funny because as he left each "launch pad" he would scream some crazy saying...Like- "I'm gonna DIE!!!!" or "COW A BUNGA" or "YABBA-DABBA-DOOOOOO!" Crazy things like that. What a goof ball!

Here is a video of April on one of the first zip lines. After she landed safely her head bumped on the cable thing. Luckily we wear these cute, sexy helmets to keep our noggins safe. I bumped my head on one as well. Thank goodness for safety equipment!

Me and my Zip lining BUDDIES!

We crossed this suspension bridge which spanned across this water area. There was a small waterfall off to the side. This place is so pretty!

Look at the beautiful view. It was fun to fly over the treetops.

This is the Big Kahuna Zip Line. When Howie and I had come here for our honeymoon this was the longest zip line that they had there. They have since made one even bigger.....THE KING KONG zipline.

You can BARELY see our landing pad WAY across this huge valley!

Off I GO!!!!! Yipeeeeee! This place is a RIOT!!!

I think this is Howie buzzing along on the BIG KAHUNA

After several hours of zipping it was time for a break.

We took a little walk to a cove area for a swim and for lunch. On the walk we found some of these awesome plants....

The dark green ones (I don't know their name) are so awesome. If you touch them with your fingers the leaves curl up tight. I wish I had taken a video of them. It looks pretty cool.

While we were coming to the lunch area Howie and I were towards the front of the group. One of our leaders had hurried down to start to fix lunch. Well, when we turned a corner I heard some rattling in the bushes and some squealing sounds! The other tour guide had mentioned about the wild pigs that roam around and how dangerous they were. SO......When I heard that sound I about jumped out of my skin. I screamed so loud. I was sure embarrassed to find out it was just our little tour guide trying to play a trick on us all. WELL IT WORKED!!! NOT FUNNY! Okay maybe a little funny but the people in the back of the line didn't even get to experience it.

Ash was eager to get in the water. Not sure why because we were already WET from the rain.

Oh man....She is so brave! IT IS GOING TO BE COLD!
BUURRRR!

She was trying to convince me and Ape to join her....

April had NO intention of going into the water. She was happy to just be there and to just take pictures to document our fun.

It didn't take much to talk Howie into jumping in. I personally think he just needed to PEE and didn't want to go find a bush. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD GO INTO THAT FREEZING POOL OF WATER? It had to be so that he could relieve himself. :) :) :)

Well they soon talked me into coming in and actually it was very refreshing. The coldness only lasted a little while. You were NUMB in a matter of seconds, and after that you couldn't feel your extremities! Ahhh very relaxing!

This video shows Ash diving in. It is a bigger drop off than what it looks like here in this video. I had my "FILL" of jumping off cliffs when I was in Lake Powell. NEVER AGAIN! OUCH! Ash on the other hand is a fish and loves the water! Nice dive Dawnie!

This picture is really SICK of me but I love how awesome Howie looks. SO just place your hand up on your computer screen to cover up the ugly chick on the left and then you can check out my man! He is HOT!

After lunch we geared back up and headed for KING KONG!

There are TWO lines on this zip line so we get to go together. I wish we could go in each other's arms. That would be a rush!

There is a HUGE ramp suspended by ropes which you have to hike up to.

It is WAY, WAY UP THERE!

You can kind of see where the cables lead to. It is a pretty steep drop so you really pick up speed!

There was a senior citizen group that was just behind us waiting for their turn. They took few pictures of us before we headed up the ramp of DEATH!

JUMPING FOR JOY!
We are about to ZIP on the KING KONG of Zip Lines.
ARE WE CRAZY OR WHAT????

This picture is a CRACK UP! Zoom into it to see the funny expressions on our faces. I love Aprils. It is hilarious!

This video shows April and Ash climbing the big ladder. This tour guide from the other group started shaking the ramp. April thought it was Ashlee and was screaming at her to STOP! It is really much, much higher than this video looks. When you are climbing to the top it is pretty FREAKY! You feel extemely unstable!

April and Ashlee getting all set up for their PLUNGE!

I wish I could have taken more video footage of the girls zooming down this zip line. I only was able to capture a short moment of them because we were next in line and they wanted us to hurry up the ramp. BUMMER because they were really cookin' and it would have looked cool from up where we were. Oh well....You will have to try it someday if you ever make it to Kauai.
Howie and I decided to race to the bottom when it was our turn. He wanted to scream...."It's a BIRD, It's a PLANE....IT's SUPERMAN!" Well as far as the race goes he had a huge advantage. The heavier you are the faster you go. MAN WE WERE GOING SOOO FAST! It almost took my breath away. When I was trying to video it I started turning around backwards. That was a HUGE rush! Steve left me in the dust and easily won me. This trip has been so enjoyable and the trip to Princeville made it that much better. Thanks Howie for the fun memories! LOVED IT!!!

I did my "ballet move" landing on accident. I landed with both feet but the ground was wet from the rain so one foot slipped out and I believe just after this picture I landed on my butt-I think! That was fun! I watched it on tv and have been wanting to zip line in Hawaii ever since! Thanks!
