Sister hugs......
This was one of the HOTTEST days in a long time. We sat around in the shade and watched the kids play on the playground.
They seemed to really enjoy the climbing wall.
Each time I went out to help them I felt like I was going to burn up! I would hurry back and sit down on the curb in the shade. Papa Howie was such a good sport.
You can see all of us in the background relaxing in the shade and here he is out helping the kids learn how to climb. He is amazing!
Luke was smart.!
He hung out with the adults over in the shade most of the time .
We decided to do just a few of the booth activities.
This was a bean bag toss for some Karate Company. The kids received treats if they got the bean bag in the hole.
Karah won this bat at another booth where she spun a wheel and won the prize. Lucky girl! YEAH!
The kids decided to get tattoos from the biker dudes....
B.A.C.A. is a motorcycle group - Bikers Against Child Abuse. I had a friend who use to be a member of this organization. They drive their bikes around to different venues, schools, and events to promote their motto. Great organization! Cool looking bikes. I can't believe I didn't take even one picture of the bikes. What was I thinking? I know what I was thinking.... GET OUT OF THE SUN- IT'S HOT OUT HERE!!!
Hey Ash....What did the prophet say about tattoos???
Too bad Tyson needed to work. He misses out on all of the fun!
We decided to let the kids play in the Bounce House. I guess that is what they call it. Not sure. Anyway, they had a good time. I stood next to the wall in about 3 inches of SHADE and watched.
We basically put the kids lives in danger by letting them go on this bounce thing. The lady who takes the tickets and lets the kids enter also allowed some HUGE- BIG-FAT- GIANT older kids to enter as well. Honestly I thought that our little ones would seriously get SQUASHED like little bugs. It really scared me and annoyed me that the person in charge was not at all concerned for the safety of these small kids. WHAT WAS SHE THINKING? If you look in the background of this picture you can see one of the boys exiting. He was not even the biggest boy in there, but he almost landed right on Lyssi's head. They could have been seriously hurt!
The kids were hot, tired and getting cranky and Ash was really wanting to go home. She has it tough sometimes because Tyson is working a lot of hours and is never available when we have these outings. She is like a single mom sometimes. We decided to let the kids go on one ride and then head home to take some naps.
The boys chose to ride on the choo choo train....
You can tell how tired they looked.....Hey SMILE boys!
The girls decided to go on the Merry-Go-Round with Dad. I couldn't get a good shot with Lyssi in the picture. Oh well she was really enjoying herself.
Karah was all GRINS!
Well Ash headed home with the boys and Shawn and April stopped by to pick up their things before going home. When Karah realized that she was NOT staying over at Grandma T's house she had a total MELT DOWN!!! I think the more time we spend together the harder it is for her to say good bye. We had spent the past 3 days together and she was seriously MAD when her mom said it was time to go. I decided to video tape part of her tantrum.
I know she probably wouldn't want me to show this tantrum on my blog but she was totally out of control. She hung on her mom' s leg while she screamed and cried. We literally had to drag her out.
She seems to calm down a bit when she is in the arms of her Papa but Steve said when he took her out to the car he just clung to him screaming to the top of her lungs. April said she cried the entire way home.
I feel that way too, Boo. When you leave I am sad as well. Luckily we live close by and we will have more fun times to come. I love you!
