East Fork of the Bear River.....

When we were up at the family get together with Steve's family I decided to take a drive and check the area out while everyone went fishing. I just wanted some alone time to RELAX. I checked out an area not too far away from my brother's cabin called the East Fork of the Bear River. I had heard about how beautiful it was there but had never seen it myself. I think this area is the place my brother and his wife go for woodbadge with the scouting program. Not sure.
It was the most beautiful day......

I was driving along the road and thought everything looked so gorgeous so I decided to pull over and snap some pictures. I wish I had a better camera to capture the beauty of this land.

A lot of the trees were dying so it added a beautiful orange contrast among the deep green trees. Too bad they were dead because it looked so pretty. Almost autumn like!

I pulled over to take a walk and sit under this grove of trees just to soak in some fresh mountain air.

These next two pictures are probably the most disappointing because the colors are so WRONG!!! Instead of vibrant green trees and a crystal blue stream (which is what it looked like) This is how my picture turned out. URRRRG! I think it is still pretty though....

One day I will learn how to take pictures.......

I love the sound of running water

(unless of course it is my toilet)

So RELAXING!

I took about a 45 minute walk and saw fields of wild flowers in bloom....

As I was posting the pictures here of my flowers I noticed almost each and every picture has a fly on it.

While I was sitting in the sun relaxing (before my walk) the flies were buzzing EVERYWHERE! It was so quiet and peaceful there I could hear the noise the flies made as they buzzed past my face. They were swarming me while I was trying to sleep so that is when I decided to take a walk. I am so glad I did because it was almost breathtaking with the stream, the trees and all of the colors from the flowers all around me. I want to bring Howie back when we get our motorhome or fifth wheel and come camping here. I love it! Just need something for the pesty flies!!!!

That is very pretty! I hate not being able to capture what I see! It's very frustrating! Flies bug me! I HATE when you are trying to sleep and they keep landing on you and walking around! One did that the other day to me and when I finally got up (because of the fly!) I was on a mission! First thing-KILL THAT FLY! I did! ;) Then I felt better! Nice! Glad you got a "break!"
