Robinson Family Fun Night....

March 25, 2011

One of our Robinson Family Traditions is to gather together 4 or 5 times a year to play games, do puzzles, eat goodies, visit and just enjoy each other's company.  It has really helped our family grow closer together and to form stronger relationships with the cousins and inlaws.  It also gives Grams a chance to see all of her kids, and grandkids a few times a year.
 Lisa and Mom....
Gary and Marie with their newest little granddaughter....
The last time we got together we had three of the cousins pregnant and ready to pop!  Now all of our newest arrivals were there to be shown off and cuddled by their loved ones...
My gorgeous daughter with my cute grandson Luke (hiding under the blanket)   He was tired of watching everyone eat snacks around him so he decided it was time for him to get some goodies.....Yum-Yum....Thanks mom!  :)
It must be a "family thing" but many of our family members LOVE to do puzzles.  Each time we get together there is always a table set up with puzzles on it.  They usually have a pretty good sized one out that everyone helps finish before the night is through.
It is a nice activity to do as you just sit around visiting and catching up on what everyone has been up to since our last get together.
My little bro working on his computer.  He always has a project going and you can always find him working on his laptop.  It is nice of him to come to these activities even though he is so darn busy in his life.
My sister Teresa always has something fun for the kids to do.  She had them play a sock game where they all put on these BIG tube socks and then crawled around trying to pull them off of each other's feet while trying to dodge others from getting yours off.
The kids decided to gang up on their big cousin Chrisse to get her socks off.
I love watching and listening to these kids play and giggle during these fun games.  Thanks Teresa for your hard work.  The kids have wonderful memories thanks to YOU!
 Playing with "sock snowballs"
There is always something for everyone to play with
Little Lyss is not feeling well today :(
For some reason I love this picture.  I think it is seeing my mom's tender hands rubbing Little Lyss's back.  Her tender touch has a way of making you feel all better.  They were always so soothing when I was growing up. She sure does love her grandkids and  her great grandkids.
There is always lots of goodies and food to eat at our parties.  Grams with Paige and Craig munching down on Pizza :)

Card games with the cousins.....
Hey Craig, do you have ENOUGH cards?  lol
 Fun times and great memories....
 No cheating Teresa!!!
Celene is NOT too thrilled with her hand.  She can barely hold all of her cards!  ha ha ha
 Lovers....Jeff and Amy
April is multi tasking....visit a little, eat a little, play a little, work on primary a little.....Life is so busy for so many of us but it is a night that no matter how busy, my girls just DON'T miss it.  They love their cousins and love to get together with them.
 Bowling for the little ones....

Jack and Mia loved playing together....It was fun to watch them.

I decided to make it fun for the teenagers....Bowling for DOLLARS!  Money was placed on select pins. Then if they knocked those over they got to keep the moola.
So funny watching them try to aim carefully to get the jackpot!

 YAY!!! She's a winner :)
The kids always love to play on the stage.  They worked for most of the night practicing  a play for us to watch.  It is so cute watching them interact together.
Karah introducing the show....It is a very short video but I love how dramatic she is when she announces "ONCE UPON A TIME IN A KINGDOM FAR AWAY ...STARTS  NOWWWW"

Celene was a wonderful sport to help them out with their little production.
I love how Celene just went with the flow of things.  She really knows how to improvise.  She was hilarious!  Thanks Celene
The kids ended the show and were learning from Celene how to properly bow.  When the "Fairy" found out she was quite upset!  The show was NOT over!!!! It was intermission time :)

Our family is a little nutty but we have such a great time together.  My grandkids absolutely LOVE the Robinson Family Fun Nights.    I am so happy that we have a close knit family and enjoy each other's company.  This is one of the best traditions that we enjoy as a family!! LOVE IT!

Just a note....On the picture of Ashlee feeding her baby-it is NOT Luke! That would be sick and wrong if her 5 year old was getting goodies under the blanket from his mom! Oooops. I meant to say Nate!!!!! If I go and edit it then it messes up my post so I am fixing it here!
