Green, Green and MORE Green.....

St. Patrick's Day 2010

On St. Patty's Day our grandsons came over to visit. It was cute to see the kids all dressed in their green outfits running up and down the streets together. Karah went to get her new friend Mercedes to join them.

I decided to set up our tents (which our good friend Locky gave us) for the kids to play in.
They had fun playing and eating snacks inside the teepee and the tent. I loved to hear their giggles as the climbed through the tunnel.

Brayden made "dibs" on the TeePee and decided in his mind that it belonged to HIM and ONLY him!He was perfectly content sitting all by himself in his new little house.
He refused to leave it....NOT even to play in the tunnel. I think he thought that if he left his TeePee then someone else would stake claim on it and he would be "homeless" Seriously he REFUSED to leave for anything!
The kids tried to bribe him with their bowls of goodies but it did not even phase Brayden. He wanted NOTHING to do with it.
My little leprechaun boy....
The kids decided to go out in search of the magic leprechaun or the pot of gold.
They ran up and down the street for at least 45 minutes in search for the "little guy"

While the kids played I decided to teach Brayden how to tie his shoes. His mom had mentioned to me that he still did not know how, so Jack-Jack and I snuck into the house. I told him that we were going to surprise his mommy by learning how to tie his shoes. I was so surprised how easy it was. He is really a BRIGHT little kid. Within about 15 or 20 minutes he had it aced!
Of course I had to bribe Jack just to get him to take the time with me but... it was well worth the reward. He loved his new Turbo Wheels. He sure surprised his mom when we went outside 30 minutes later and showed her his new trick. I think she was in shock!

While the kids played the girls put together a storage shed. Ash and Steve had already made one a few months ago for me, but now we were in need of another one.

With Steve out of town it was up to the girls to build it.
Oh yeah...and of course the help of Luke!
My girls have always LOVED to build things......

They work so well together......

Almost done.....

My girls are a little nutty but they sure know how to have a great time with even the most tedious jobs. They were so much fun to watch as they worked together to build this storage shed. I think they laughed more than they actually worked. They are such goofballs when they get together.
I am so glad that they are my daughters and that they are as close as they are to each other. I love the fact that we all live fairly close to each other (especially April LOL) and we are able to spend quality time together as a family. Thanks girls for the help! You both did a wonderful job!

Hi again, Mrs. T! *lol* (there's a story behind that, why it's funny, I'll tell you someday~)

I'm playing "catch-up" today, (trying to) - I've been studying my brain out this month for this latest class - and it's a doozie; the prof is a reallllllll pain in the foondy... this coming week is finals, so - if I can survive his yucky-ness, will get a new class starting next week, and I'll be sooooooooo glad whoever the teacher is!

Anywayyy - thank you for your wonderful posts! I always enjoy popping on over here, to see what's going on, and what's going on with you? (now that I've enjoyed hearing about your girls being such the marvelous people they are, what's their mom been doing?)

Love the pictures, you are such a hoot! I feel like your blog page is just a fun time visiting, only you can't hear me enjoying it - I hope you can now~

By the way, some of your magic has run off over into my life, my Prince Charming found me - last December, and I am now the thrilled owner of a gorgeous engagement ring he surprised me with - you have shed such light into my part of the world, thank you so much~ one of these days we'll need to go "do lunch" (isn't that what they call it now? *lol*)...

Have a wonderful Sabbath,

Kari T. (there's MY "T", see? *grins*)
