Alyssa and Brayden were the first to wake up. Pretty surprising because for the most part Lyss is quite the little DOZER! She is definitely NOT a morning person, so to see her wander into the kitchen this early was quite the surprise. I guess she was excited to open her presents! Imagine that!
Brayden's response when he saw all of the gifts laid out for them was...."WOW! Look at all that loot!" "We must have been REALLY good this year to get that many presents!" It was so cute because he was barely awake and was kinda whispering in a groggy voice. Wish I had it on video...it was adorable!
I like the sign in Ashlee's window.....PATIENCE! That is exactly what the kids had to practice while they waited for their parents to FINALLY wake up!
They all wanted to give Papa Howie and Grandma T their present first! So dang cute :)
The boys opening their presents from Aunt April..... THEY LOVED THEM!
Christmas could have ended at that moment for those boys. They had the perfect gift and were totally content with building their new super heros. Aunt April chose well this year!
Finally complete.....
Aunt Ashlee got the girls PILLOW PETS! Just what they both had been asking for. They were thrilled!Karah has always LOVED unicorns so it was cute that Ash chose that one for her
April got Tyson a BOY TOY! Nerf gun!
Nativity Scene for the Girls.....
My little shopper.....
Why does she look so good this early in the morning?
Ash has always wanted a dehydrater.....
More opening of presents.....
Time for the parents to get to work putting the presents together....
Playing one of the new family games...
OPERATION
Lyss found her stocking full of goodies. She is not gonna let this out of her sight! CANDY!!!!!
Once again, Papa Howie is playing make-believe with the kids. I could have watched that go on all day. It was so stinkin cute!
Brain Power.....
Tyson got a fun gift for Christmas. It is a game where you concetrate and focus on a little ball and your concentration generates power to control a fan in the board. That fan blows air and lifts a ball up above the board. You then turn a dial and manuever the ball around the board and do stunts with the ball. All done with concentration. Don't believe me???? Just watch!
Ashlee got the ball to go the highest. Even with disruptions from her kids. Guess she has learned how to tune out those boys. Great Job Ashlee!
Even Boo was able to do it. At first the ball would not budge, but she soon got the feel for it. Way to go! Awesome job, Boo!
April out for the count! Everyone just relaxed and enjoyed their new gifts for a few hours before we had to get ready for church. Our tradition is to have our family get-together on a Saturday afternoon, then sleep over at whoever's house we are at, and attend church together as a family on that Sunday. Nothing quite like going to church with the whole gang. I LOVE IT! It makes it nice to have the late session so that there is no hurry to get everyone ready. It is much more relaxing and enjoyable.
Making Pretzels......
We had fun making chocolate covered pretzel sticks. We had even more fun eating them!
Some had caramel under the chocolate and they were absolutely deeeeelish!!!!
April has quite the knack for this. LOL!
Mmmmmm....good enough to eat!
She's got some SERIOUS pretzel makin' skills!
We had such a great time together this Christmas. I love my family with all of my heart. They are the best!
Merry Christmas 2010
I can't wait till next Christmas!
Oh wait....I don't have long to wait. Christmas 2011 is in just a few more weeks. I am almost ONE YEAR behind on posting this blog. What a lame grandma I am. I need to get caught up so that my sweet grandkids have this blog-journal of our family fun together. Gotta keep going. My goal is to post all of 2010 before 2011 is over! Wish me luck!
