Home Sweet Home Billings Style!
We looked at several apartment complexes before moving to Billings and some were pretty nice but we ended up taking this duplex instead. We had a really good feeling about it from the start. We are located off the street in a cul-de-sac. It is so quiet and peaceful there.
We have a pretty decent size backyard with a deck
The duplex sits on a huge peice of property right next to a park
There is a walking trail that is just beyond our fence line in the backyard. It reminds me so much of the canal road in South Jordan where we live. There are always people taking strolls along the path or jogging or riding their bikes. I love the feel of this area!
Part of our side yard leading to the park...
The inside is not too bad either. Just the right size for the two of us. The kitchen is small and I don't have any pictures of it but it works for us :)
It has one bathroom which is the onlything that I have decorated so far and it isn't even finished yet. Still need a few things to go on the walls.
We don't have much furniture yet and it doesn't seem too homey yet but that will come. Thanks to our South Jordan neighbors we have a couch for our living room. Thanks Kelsey! We have stairs that lead from the front door downstairs to an unfinished basement. We plan on putting our workout equipment down there and some storage. It is very roomy.
Our duplex has two rooms. They are both the same size. I don't have a picture of our bedroom because for some reason it got deleted from my camera
This room has a sliding glass door that leads outside to our deck.
The deck is made of that Trex Deck material. I love the fact that it is maitenance free.
There are some nice benches as well which are built in for extra seating. It will be nice to get out the barbeque and have a party!
Our walkway to the garage....
We were pretty excited to find a place with a garage. It seems like everyone here in Montana just park out on the street. Every apartment complex had very limited covered parking. We had heard about the rough winters and we DID NOT want to have to deal with our car out in the freezing weather.
We have to walk to the garage but it has been so nice to get into a nice semi warm car when the temperatures are below zero! It's been great! Now all we need is a garage door opener and we will be set!

I actually really love Montana. I don't think Steve would believe that I just wrote that statement because of all of the complaining I have done since we moved but I really do. It is so nice to come home and just the two of us spend time together. I miss my girls terribly and the grandkids even more but overall I think this move will be the best thing we have done in our marriage. Just have to iron out the problems that come with owning a business and all will be well!
We have a very nice ward and wonderful neighbors. I couldn't ask for more!
