Our "Fix-Up" Crew.....

Ash and her family have been helping around our home as our own personal "Fix-Up" crew. I have so many small projects that have just been ignored for FAR tooooo long. Tyson and Ash painted our trim on the house while we were away to Hawaii for a week. They did a wonderful job. It was a nice surprise to come home to.

One job they volunteered to help with is painting and fixing up my poor, pathetic rusted out, falling down mailbox.

The first job was to get it PAINTED!!!

I don't think this has been done in 20 years!

Brayden hard at work and Luke cooling off with a popscicle

Yummy cold popscicles.....

I love the look of concentration that he has as he makes sure that the post is all covered. This wood is so dry we may need more paint :)

Mom nearby to coach him on......Good Job Buddy!

Little Luke (I guess he's not that little anymore) wanted a turn

Luke loved painting the post......

He even took time away from his work to "CHEESE IT"
for his Grandma "T"

Ashlee finishing up the boys job.

Now she's lovin' it. She has a power tool in her hand. Look out! Ash is amazing when it comes to repairs and fix up work. She is a very hard worker.

All better!
A nice new mailbox compliments of Ashlee and the boys.

Brayden taking a break and acting goofy with my sunglasses

For some reason Jack loves to play in my car. I can always find him there just hangin' out! He loves to wear my glasses also. Especially this particular pair. Maybe I should buy him some:)

Jack-Jack is such a little lover boy lately. He is constantly telling me how much he loves me. He will be in the middle of a sentence and stop what he is saying to tell me that he loves me. When he says the words "I love you Grandma "T" it really melts my heart. What a sweetie!

Poor Lyss......

While the boys were working we had a cute visitor stop by.....Alyssa.
Ape had just taken her to the doctor to get her eyes checked.

She ended up having a case of pink eye.

She looked miserable!
Poor little girl......Get better quick!
She didn't stick around because it is pretty contagious.

After a hard day of work there is always time for pizza and a movie.

I fixed the red-eye on these pictures several times but they keep downloading like this! Can't figure what I am doing wrong. Oh well! Cute boys anyway!

Swing Set.....

Tyson and Ash also decided to put up the new swing set, which I have had here in storage from last year. We never can find the time to actually put the thing together. Thanks guys for helping us finally get some things accomplished around our house. You're great!

Luke is their little shadow....

He wants to be involved in every single stage of the job,
from separating the parts into sections.....

Handing pieces to mommy.....

And holding the bar in place "just right!"

He even wanted to test it out for quality control :)

Brayden was excited about the slide. He would sit on it and scoot his little bottom along the slide and say "Weeeeee"

Then he held up the slide and said
"Grandma T, come slide down my new slide! It's FUN!"

I enjoyed watching Ash and Ty work together as a team to build this swing set. I think this little video clip is kind of funny when Ashlee asks Tyson to come back to help her and he said he's busy "being a slide for the boys"

What a fun dad! He makes an awesome slide!

I think Luke is going to be quite the little handy man when he grows up because he is always helping out with any project we are doing. Brayden on the other hand is going to be the "SHOPPER" of the family. I asked him to look through this pool magazine and choose his favorite pool toys that he would like to have for the pool. He was very careful at first, choosing "just the right one". Then once he found out that I was planning on REALLY buying a few- HE WENT WILD! He ended up circling almost every pool toy and raft in the magazine. I had told him that I just had to call the number on the magazine and order what I want and then they would deliver it to my home. He kept asking when I was going to call them so he could play with his new toys. I don't think he realized that MONEY was involved. He just wanted me to call really fast so that he could play with them. I'd have to mortgage my home in order to fulfill Jack's wish list!

Thanks guys for the mailbox, the swing set and the nice job you did painting my house. You guys ROCK!!!
